Are You Gregarious in WDW?

Milliehubbard was talking about how there are so many people to talk to in Disney World. I was thinking about how I am much more likely to talk to a stranger there than just about anyplace else. I'm still not terribly outgoing by any standard, but I definitely chat with more people there than I would at home. Does everyone else find they're more chatty at WDW? Or are you a social butterfly to begin with?

I am very chatty at WDW. I'm pretty austere by nature, but not at the World. I'll strike up a conversation with just about anyone. It's really neat, the people you come across.

It's pretty hard to be closed off when you're surrounded by people all day. Plus, if you have a good attitude and are willing to chat, it keeps you from resenting the crowds so much Laughing out loud

It usually depends on whether the crowds are annoying me or not. If I've been cut off by too many families not paying attention where they're going I get surly and don't chat much. The rest of the time I tend to be much more outgoing than I am in "real life."

Ditto.

Otherwise, I'd say I am about as friendly there as I am anywhere else--but I find I tend to seek out other adults sans children to interact with.

I do that, too... or maybe not seek out consciously -- it just happens. I tend to be places where there are other adults at that particular time.

Not sure if I'm more or less friendly, but I do end up talking to more people!

It's usually easier to talk to the folks without kids because they tend to be much less stressed out. I usually tend to chat up one or two kids while I'm there, but that's about the extent of my capabilities. laugh

I find I am very chatty in WDW, esp when sitting waiting for the parades etc. I have to say I'm fairly chatty anyway but then I live near London in the UK, on the tube you sit with your ead down and dont make eye contact with anyone lol. If you talk to people here, they might section you lol

laugh So true! Compared to the tube, the NYC subway looks like a cocktail party! Personally, I prefer to keep my mouth shut while I'm commuting, though, so I can't complain!

So on average you're a little less gregarious at WDW? silly

DH and I tend to chat it up...we've met some really nice people at WDW. Although we have wondered to ourselves how anyone could be in a bad mood there?? I understand the stress of a "once in a lifetime" experience and not wanting to miss anything but doesn't the stress spoil the very joy you're trying to experience?

Like dsoup said, I have a tendency to let other people's stress stress me out sometimes. laugh
