Did your kids enjoy it when they were younger?

Oh yes, we had the WDW CD in the car and all the kids knew the words to it since they were very small. What makes it even more special to me is that when my parents took me and my Sister in 1975 my father loved COP. He and my Mom went on it in 1964 at the Worlds Fair. He always enjoyed going on it and when he and Mom went to WDW with my and my family he loved telling his girls (my daughters) all about how he went on it in 1964.

My Dad passed in 2009 but when I'm on COP now its like being with him because of the attachment he had with it. When I sit in the theater it's like it is still 1975 and he's there with me.

was going back through old posts to see if I could learn anything and I remember this COP from when I was 5... I LOVED it and cannot wait to go on it again! I read on the website that it is "seasonal" so is it not open all the time?? anyone know?

CoP was one of the few attractions I remember visiting when I went to Disney World in 2nd grade. It was still sponsored by GE then. I also visited it on my second trip while in junior high. I went last year and plan to this year. I can say this is one attraction I visit on every trip.

Do I look like a history nerd if I mention that I LOVE HoP? I'm so bad I actually want to get over to DL so I can see Mr. Lincoln too!

I like CoP and HoP too.. also the American Adventure. My brother (aka travel buddy) on the other hand.. lol.. he'll only go on those if it's crazy hot. Sad

DL's Great Moments with Mr Lincoln is finally back. It was gone for awhile for the 50th anniversary of DL, they had a movie in there about.. DL of course!
Anyway, a few years ago they "reimagined" the attraction and made it "3D sound" or something. You had to wear these giant headphones. It DID sound cool but.. I liked the original version and I started a boycott of the attraction lol. I havent been on it since its return after the 50th.. but I dont think they do the sound thing anymore.

Yes! Someone who loves the educational rides! clapping If only people could see these for what they are worth: a heritage of Walt's wishes!

We've gone to Disney World in late October, early to mid November, and early December, after Thanksgiving but well before Christmas, and it was open every time.

I love COP, because it is the best place in all of MK to take a nap!

I have the song lyrics printed out nicely and placed over my desk. It's not the Big Beautiful Tomorrow lyrics, when I think COP I think
"Now is the time.. now is the best time... now is the best time of your life"

Hmmm... I don't ever remember seeing it closed, unless it's for a refurb. If I can remember when I'm there next, I'll try and find out Smile

No it's only closed for "refurbs". Never heard of it being seasonal. Wow, I really have to turn off the spell check on my Iphone, it's a real pain!

I remember a long time ago it went to Seasonal and people where afraid that it would be closing for good. I think that in this case seasonal means "it's open most of the time but sometimes it's closed..like at night or when we're understaffed..so just deal with it".

Basically I think it's open most of the time. I've seen it close earlier at night than other attractions.

I didn't get to see C of P this trip. We didn't have time while visiting MK on Monday or Wednesday. I had planned on going back on Friday before our lunch reservations at Epcot. I wasn't feeling well yesterday morning so I took it easy.
