Castaway Cay 5K

Has anyone done the Castaway Cay 5K? Does anyone want to?

It's on my "to do" list for our Princess Week Trip! I figure after the 10K on Saturday a 5K Wednesday should be a breeze!

You're gonna make me do this, aren't you? laugh Okay, I'd do it with you anyway. The video cracked me up, especially when he would be passing that one blonde lady with the white shirt tied around her waist. You could practically hear her thinking, "NO YOU DI'INT!" But whew, remind me to bring sunglasses. That is a very sunny course!

Um, no...we did not do it. I am not a runner. BUT, while we were on a fast tram heading to the adult beach, we passed a ton of runners who seemed hot, sweaty, and not having fun....we waved as we passed them and headed to our fabulous hammocks for the day! laugh

On a serious note, I heard it was fun from people who participated. One of our friends did it and they said it was great, but they did lose a good beach spot because it may have taken them a while. Beach spots are a first come, first serve. While Disney has enough lounge chairs for all passengers, there are some really bad spots that are far, far away or back from the water a good bit. If you want hammocks for the day at the adult beach, I suggest getting there early or have someone go and snag them. There are only like 6 or 8 hammocks there and they go fast!

Good luck!
