Celebrating Special Occasions at WDW

I love celebrating special events at Disney World!. I've managed to celebrate several birthdays now in the World, and love love love being in the magic during special times.

I was about a week off this year with doing Disney World on my actual birthday, but I've made up for it. I got my button and donned my birthday ears and had a magical day!

CMs are always so good about commenting and making you feel good and special, but sometimes you also get some extra magic to help celebrate. This time was no different - nothing expected but most appreciated and welcomed!

1. A free raspberry pop tart from Woody's Lunchbox! I loved these earlier and loved it again.
2. A birthday cupcake from.the Yak and Yeti!!
3. The CM at Buzz Lightyear diverted me from the 30 minute Standby queue to the FP queue and said "Have a magical day!" I did but Joe still slaughtered me)
4. At the Tower of Terror, at the end of the ride as we were unboarding the elevator, the CM pulled me and Joe aside, and after everyone else was off and heading towards pictures, he asked if I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I said imdid, very much, and he asked me if I would like to stay again. YES I WOULD!!!! He had another CM escort us to a special elevator that took us right back up to the elevator boarding area and they stuck us right back on for another ride! That was awesome.
5. A CM gave me a bunch of random Christmas stickers.

Have you experienced any extra special magic for your celebrations?

Jen and I get a lot of compliments and people asking to hang out with us after reading our buttons Labor Day weekend.

I will be celebrating my 50th at WDW in January. I'll let you know if any magical happens.

My favourite experience was the first time we went to the Garden Grill. It was our anniversary and our server brought us a special cupcake, stickers and then serenaded us with the song from Lady and the Tramp! It was awesome!

Although not a special occasion, after the Princess half marathon I went into Sweet Spells at Hollywood Studios wearing my medal. A CM congratulated me then asked if I liked gingerbread. I said yes and she gave me a free Mickey gingerbread cookie!

A few food pics from Yak and Yeti. I had the Coconut Shrimp with rice and switched the veggies for fries; Joe had the Lettuce Cups appetizer for 2 as a main. Both really good!

I like the look of the lettuce cups. I was browsing their menu last night and I'm super excited about my dinner there in a couple of weeks.

Anniversaries at California Grill. Let them know when you make your advanced reservations. They really make it special. They will accommodate table location requests, champagne when you arrive, special dessert, Mickey confetti. Do it during fireworks, doesn't get much better.
