Character Dining Will Be Temporarily Unavailable

https://allears.net/2020/05/29/news-character-dining-will-be-temporarily-unavailable-when-disney-world-reopens/

I was expecting this news. How do you all feel about no character dining? For me the real threat in this situation is the buffet-ness of spaces vs. the character interaction. Though both activities have their issues in this situation. What are your thoughts? I am a huge fan of a character meal, but I could do without the whole buffet thing and have family style service at them instead.

They just announced that Topolino's Terrace WILL have character dining though which is super confusing to me. Anyone have any insight on this?

I'm ok with it either way. I'm not a fan of buffets at all (even before all of this) so I won't miss out on that.

I watched a video yesterday at that other park in Orlando.... The characters were on a riser with a rope around them and a "socially distanced" marker on the ground. A little weird but I get it. Capt America had a mask on. At that point, just skip it... Spiderman, properly masked without it being weird.....

I don't see the princesses in masks but if they are, I bet they are going to be beautiful masks!!!!

Is Topolino not a buffet? Is it served family style?

Topolino you got a shared basket of bread and then you got to pick an entree, very similar to Trattoria Al Forno. It sounds like the bread basket has been removed (at least temporarily) from the menu.

Ahhh... got it. That makes more sense then.

I just read on Facebook Garden Grill will have a modified character experience. It wasn't posted by WDW so I don't know how accurate the information is.
