Church at Disney?

So Sunday is usually our arrival day but since this trip we are going for two weeks we will be there on a sunday. Does anyone know if they hold church services anywhere on Disney property?

I don't think so, at least I've never seen or read of any of on property. Of course I'm not religious & don't belong to any church etc. so I don't pay attention to or have any interest in finding that when I travel. I'm sure you could find something off property though.

Disney used to have church services in the Luau cove at the Poly and at the Contemporary, but I read somewhere that they have been discontinued and now only hold services at Christmas and Easter.

There is a church service at the Holiday Inn by DTD at 8:02 pm on Sundays.

That's kind of disappointing that they don't have anything on property...you would think with that many people going there it would be something they would have.

I suggest going to the gospel brunch at House of Blues. It will give a real church experience!

My guess is that since they have so many people going there, that means there are a lot of different religions there as well. If they had a service for one, others might be upset that there isn't one for them so they'd have to have services for multiple religions.

I agree. I don't think Disney wants to be in the church business, nor should they be IMO. It's an amusement park. It would just open a can of worms. It's the House of Mouse while inside the Disney bubble. mickey

We go to church off property.

There is a worship service at the Baymont Inn & Suites on Black Lake Road. They may have a shuttle that you can catch from one of the parks.

Also a Catholic Church off Vineland, near outlet mall, just pass I-4 off of Apopka Vineland. Close to DTD.
