Columbia Harbor House, a "Must Do"?

In all the years we've been going to WDW, we have never eaten at Columbia Harbor House. Don't know how that happened? It seems to get outstanding reviews. We've always eaten at Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Casey's, Pecos Bill's, and Cosmic Ray's. What does this counter service have that really makes it stand apart from the rest at MK?

I love the fish and chips there. So far everything either of us have tried has been really good.

They have a great fried chicken and fish basket, and thier tuna sandwich is really good also. I always go at off times because of the crowd, it is always so crowded

If you go there, note that there's additional seating upstairs with its own condiment station. AND..... there is also a washroom tucked away at the corner near one of the stairs.

After reading all the rave reviews, we had decided that we are going to try it for our first evening in October. I can't believe we had never eaten there either!

IMO the Columbia Harbor House menu is more varied and interesting than at other MK counter-service places (including Cosmic Ray's, which has a lot of variety and is quite good for counter service). I could easily eat at CHH several times per trip, never have the same thing, and love every meal.

Yeah... I agree with sens.... the chicken and fish basket is awesome! Is it a must... I think for us were hitting something different. Weve hit it the past 3 years, so certain people in our family are getting tired of it... COUGHCOUGHJESSCOUGHCOUGH

The menu has changed slightly during the past year or so, so even if you have been there regularly, it is a bit different than before. But then again, I don't mind getting the same thing if it is consistently good. Still, while I still like the place, the size of the fish seems to have gotten smaller than what I remember, while the price has gone up.

One of our favorite spots. We get a table upstairs, sit by the window and people watch the folks in line at Haunted Mansion. Very relaxing.

Great tuna sandwich!

Every meal there has been better than just about any meal in the MK. tuna sand is great and like mrhub, we love the lobster roll, too!

We love Columbia House, we had always walked right by it, but tried it because of recommendations on here. The fish and chips is very good. One of the best cs.

Agreed...and like someone said...make sure you go upstairs and eat...it's never crowded up there and there is a great view Smile

Oh.... im in love with there Fish. I have eaten at a lot of Fish places in my life. One of my favorites was in Seattle, Washington. And this place tastes exactly like it! Only difference... the place in Seattle had bigger pieces of Fish... but thats not that big of a deal. Columbia is probably my favorite Quick Serve.
