Country Bear Jamboree-Yay or Nay?

My husband and my son (obviously!) love it! I just don't!

What about you?

We never went for 5 of our past trips. Never thought I'd care for it. But then we needed to kill time last trip and it was raining, so there we were...and I really liked it! Now I'll go every time.

We like it. It might be a little corny but it can still bring a few smiles (and groans) to weary MK wanderers, and it is a good place to sit and relax for a few minutes, might even kill some time wating for a fastpass or while waiting for your reservations at LTT.

I have not seen it in many years... considering we no longer have it here at Disneyland. I don't know if Andy has EVER seen it so I am considering going.

Honestly -- I can live without it eek I know -- I might lose my official WDW-lover badge for this one, but I definitely don't need to go every time...

if they said they were gonna remove it, you'd miss it though!!

because I thought the same way about it when it was still at DL.. but then they took it out and now I miss it so much! Sad

I enjoyed it, but it's not a must see every time.

Yes.

I sound like a broken record - but I really wish they would just keep the figures - and their clothing - fresh and dust-free. Take some pride! It's a classic attraction, and people shouldn't be disappointed when they finally see it! (Like I was.)

We haven't been for several trips. But I wouldn't want it taken away, because I know there are those who enjoy it.

I agree, maybe if they could update it a little? I will give it another try, it's been about 2 years but I just wasn't into it!

do they change it at the Holidays at WDW like they used to at DL? Maybe that would get people interested in it.

We always sing the Country Bears version of "Sleigh Ride" when we hear that song come on the radio at Christmas time!

Unfortunately they do NOT do the Christmas overlay like they used to.

Im not big on it. Ive done it once when I was a kid, and it bored me then. Unless the kids want to do it... I doubt ill ever do it again, and I dont think they will because they dont know about it... lol

YES! YES! YES! And if they mentioned getting rid of it I would chain myself to the doors! It's on my iPod and I play it all the time! I'm a bit obsessed!

YAY! I love that attraction! My favourite part is when the rough-looking bear keeps interrupting the others with his "blood on the saddle" song. lol!

We love it! you can normally always get a seat and yes it's a bit corny but still a good show.

Not to mention, it's dark and air-conditioned. I love going in there after spending time on Tom sawyers island.

There are many things at Disney World that are a bit corny and dated and those are some of my favorite things. Like DonaldDork said, I don't go every time but I'd be sad if they closed it.

I find it annoying but it's a great place to get out of the heat and relax for awhile Smile

So for those who aren't big fans: Would you want it replaced?

I'm not big on it but I wouldn't want it replaced. I think it's one of those shows that needs to stay.

Well ...it is an authentic Disney attraction so I would say keep it even if I don't personally like to do it. For the older visitors (grandparents or parents) it might be kind of cool to take your children to an attraction they liked as a youngster.

I've never actually seen it! I always just assumed it was only for really young children, but to be honest I have no idea what it even is really?!

Oh my dear! You should definitely check it out on your next trip, even just so you can say you've done it. It's an animatronic theatre show with bears singing assorted songs. Very cute (but then, I'm a big fan!).

Absolutely not. Just keep it up. Don't "Under New Management" it or anything. But make sure there are no dust, cobwebs, all the animatronic parts are working and don't sound creaky, etc.

Do they still have the mooseheads - or whatever they were, I can't remember - in the counter service adjacent to it? Those used to kill me everytime I saw them! Loved them. But haven't really spent much time in that part of the park for a while.

It's on my once a year cycle, which is pretty good.

The first couple visits we didn't go out of our way to watch the show, and then decided to check it out on our thrid year of going to WDW.

I found it quite funny, and now we check it out once a year.
It may fall to every other year cycle after 2011 for me, but I still say yes... check it out.. recommended here!

Good use of time for the first or second visit. silly
