DISNEY FALL ROOM DISCOUNTS ANNOUNCED NOW!

If anyone is awake- Disney announced Fall Back to School Savings. I'd recommend you attempt to modify your reservation online and if it is not an option (seems it is not an option for many people including me)- then re-book from scratch and cancel the old reservation after the new one is booked. In my case, I have to call Disney direct to cancel the old reservation. Pop Century had 15% off Standard-pool view rooms which still saved me about $200 to switch up. It appears the choices and rooms are very very very limited. Don't wait.

I wasn't able to change mine online at first and then the option became available.

I am going during Jersey Week, so I knew FD would not be an option, but I was hopeful that I could at least snag a room discount. We are arriving November 7th...room discounts end November 5th mad

Ended up taking the room discount and saved about $560 but booked a Garden View room so may end up with two queen beds instead of 1 king. I may upgrade to SSR later, but unsure. I was pretty set on POR at this point. But was really wanting that free dining plan, but doesn't seem to be available online and I can't get through on the phones. sad

AP Holders and DVC point renters can't get free dining, so I'm out!!! mad

Only got it the first year we went as a family in 2010 and I didn't find it to be something I needed or wanted, again. I felt as though I was planning my days' activities at the parks around our dining reservations and meal times. It very much removed the spontaneity from our Disney trip. I'm a seasoned vet now, laugh so I know how to cut costs and save money in the food realm.. Having a full kitchen in a 1-bdrm at SSR will help the food and drink costs tremendously this trip. I still made three ADR's awesome yeah

Good luck everyone who is looking to get the Free Dining Plan.. awesome stars

Becks534 was able to switch over to free dining on her room, very happy for her. I'm DVC so none of that effects my trip except for how much more competitive getting reservations just became. laugh

Shoot, I didn't even have to DO anything, my amazing travel agent did all the heavy lifting. I got to work, checked my email and did the Free Dining Happy Dance. banana banana banana Yep, it's a thing. Best part? Not having to switch from Port Orleans Riverside! muchlove
