Disney Fantasy Tests New Personal Navigator App

http://disneycruiselineblog.com/2013/09/disney-cruise-line-releases-a-personal-navigator-iphone-android-app-for-a-sea-trials-on-the-disney-fantasy/

This is so cool! It makes me want to book a trip on the Fantasy just to play with the app. Okay- maybe that's not the only reason that I want to book a trip on the Fantasy, but still it's way cool! I wouldn't want for this to be the only way the navigators are delivered, but it sure is nice to be able to have everything at your finger tips when you want it without having to carry the paper around.

What do you think about it?

I used the app on my Disney Fantasy last month. It is pretty cool. I know I didn't use it to its full potential, but I really liked the parts that I did use. I found that the menu option wasn't always accurate, but hopefully they will fix that part. Other things, like the times of character meets were pretty accurate. Also liked that you could look at a deck plan if you needed directions to a particular location.

I'm excited for this but I hope they keep the paper Navigator's too. I love collecting the characters. I've already downloaded the App and we don't sail on the Fantasy until June. I hope it's up and running for all the ships by next year so we can have one for the Magic too. Did you see that they've changed the kids club bracelets to what look like Magic Bands? I'm hoping this means they'll switch over and that we'll be able to book land and sea packages that will require one MB for both resorts and ships. That would make check ins so much easier.

That would have been so helpful to me! I'm looking forward to using this again some day... I just have to get back to the cruise.
