Disney Music

Is anyone else as obsessed with it as I am? I had Disney Ragtime songs playing during my cocktail hour at my wedding, and then for my Reception I had karaoke versions of all the classic Disney songs playing in the background while our guests ate dinner. I could listen to Disney music any time, any place. I love it so much.

How do you all feel about Disney music? What are some of your favorite songs?

I think The Promise would be the best wedding song ever.

Splash Mountain, most insane music- never can get it out of my head.

I tracked down all of the music they play before Illuminations.

Favorite Soundtrack- Beauty and The Beast

A CM gave me a 4 disc set of CDs with the music for all the rides and all of the area music.

Yeah- Disney has some great music.

I definitely dig the music as well... you can't help but smile, especially when you're not feeling so happy or going through tough times... or just in the midst of pre-trip excitement (48 days!)

I'd love to get a good quality copy of the Epcot entrance music. I have a crappy version ripped from a YouTube video that I use to remind me of how it feels to be walking into Epcot, my favorite place on Earth biggrin

I've got several Disney CD's which I listen to quite regularly, especially when I'm at work or need a bit of Disney pick-up. When we were on vacation in September one of the items on our 'things to buy list' was the Four Parks-One World CD. We hunted everywhere for it in MK and thought we'd never get it, but we got the last copy in DHS Writers Post.

My favourites have got to be:

Soarin' theme - Soarin' Epcot
Beauty and the Bees (not a spelling mistake) - its tough to be a bug AK
Splash Mountain Medley - Splash Mountain MK
Grim, Grinning Ghosts - Haunted Mansion MK

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I wish there were more park music cd's, especially the different "Land" loop music. I love the music walking down Main St USA, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, etc. We listen to "4 Parks 1 World" cd all the time. Always puts you in a good mood.

Caught me!! My musical influences and indulgences are all over the map LOL. Joe Strummer was one of my music heroes as a kid... grew up listening to The Clash, U2 and Zeppelin before the 90s came along.

I'm an ageing punk myself. The older I get the more varied my musical tastes seem to get. I saw the Clash quite a few times back in the day.

I'll see if I can dig out that Epcot music. Maybe I can send you an mp3 file or something.

I guess I am a lucky lady since I work in a daycare and can play my disney cds all day long..hahahaha clapping. I am a little obsessed though. Each time we are at Disney I am on the look out for a cd I don't have. Last trip I was really disappointed sad I couldn't find anything new. Oh well next trip is in May mickey One cd I would love to have is the theme music from the resorts. I love what they play at the poly's gift shop!

Agree! I love the park music! I am always trying to find it. I also love music in certain rides/attractions. I love the America song in The American Adventure!

Absolutely! Disney can afford and often gets some of the best musical talent working on movies and theater. I am a huge fan of many things Alan Menken has done. Newsies is probably my favorite of his works, I love the original music and the Broadway version. Disney did the right thing in bringing him back for the theatrical production. Out of the more recent movies, I was absolutely in love with the music from Princess and the Frog and happily surprised with Randy Newman's work on it.

From the parks, I really love the Main Street Electrical Parade music. Used to have a really nice orchestrated version of it, but not anymore. "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" also hits a note with me, it says something about the time period in which the Disney parks were born.

It's so nice to know that I'm not the only one who has this guilty pleasure!

My commute to work soundtrack over the past few months has consisted only of "Four Parks - One World", Blunderbuss by Jack White and most recently, the Led Zeppelin Celebration Day live discs. Again, I'm all over the place LOL

I do! It's a wonderful album! You can go to the link that I will be pasting below to listen to clips of the songs. I ordered a copy from amazon, but I think I ordered it used and it was much less than $14. This is literally one of my favorite Disney albums. I love ragtime!

I know what you mean! We love the music played at the Wilderness Lodge. I asked one of the CM's there if there was a cd of the resort's music but unfortunately they do not.......UGH!!! It would be wonderful if they would make a cd of all the different resort's music. When you aren't there you can play it and feel like you're almost back there!

We also have the "Ragtime" cd. My son loves Rag music and is trying to learn some on the piano. My favorites on that cd are "Grimm Grinning Ghosts" and "Yo-Ho! A Pirates Life For Me".

However the Wilderness Lodge Site has a listing of the resort music with links to both iTunes and Amazon that you can purchase!

Kristen, you beat me to the punch!

NHshorty purchased the WL music just prior to our last trip in May. I loaded the WL music into the MP3 player in my truck, and now when I have it on shuffle, a WL song will just pop up in between all of my Steely Dan, James Taylor, Joe Jackson, and Beatles songs. Whenever this happens she just sighs and says we need to get back there real soon.
