Disney World better for Seniors?

Every time I'm at Disney World I'm extremely glad I don't have any kids yet. Of course some day they may come along and ruin everything. It seems to me that Disney World would be perfect for seniors in the same way as it is for me, except without the menacing specter of children looming in the future.

Definitely better without kids! Not that I'd know, but I'm sure I'd be happier if there were fewer of them there! silly

I really do think a lot of things about WDW are perfect for seniors. Most importantly it can be easy to "learn." I think that's why so many people like to visit there every year, because they know how to do it and it's so pleasant and relaxing once you're a pro.

Disney World can be whatever you want it to be--relaxing, exciting, interesting, exhilirating...so I think it fits any personality and ability level. It's one of the few places that can still be easy to get around even if you aren't able to (or don't want to) walk very far!

My parents love it & they're 80 & 81. DH & I are nearly empty-nesters & we love it in a completely different way than we did when DS was little.

Bali's right - there's so much to do, so much going on that it's perfect for every different age level.

I guess it's easy to get around if you have a wheelchair or scooter, but one downside is that it's a lot of walking otherwise.

Bless their hearts! Do they stay on property?

When they go with us, yes. They went one other time & combined it with a Daytona Beach trip. That time, they stayed off-property. They said they'd never do that again.

Do they recommend Daytona Beach?
