Do you bring a camcorder?

I always take hundreds of pictures, but I'm kind of disappointed that I don't take more video of our trip. Our next trip I'm going to make it a goal to take more video. It's just hard going back and forth between electronics!

I have a fairly expensive Olympus DSLR camera and that is enough for me, I don't even OWN a camcorder, but the new ones are so darn small that I have been at least thinking about purchasing one.

I have a Flip camera that I could just keep in my pocket or even my iPhone but I could just see me forgetting to take it out because I want to get pictures with my camera. I was looking at about the 5 minutes I had from our last trip and wish I had more!

Most ever point and shoot camera now adays take video also. Every camera I have does, and I also have 2 video cameras that take still pictures. Yes I take video all the time & several hundred to several thousand pictures usually per trip.

That's true...the Nikon D5000 I just got takes video but I haven't tested it out yet! I wonder how the quality is.

Same here, except we have a Canon DSLR. But I was just thinking the other night that we used to have a camcorder and I have some really memorable videos of trips before we got hooked on Disney, and that now might be a good time to reinvest in a new camcorder.

I've tried to take more video, I just never do. I don't seem to have enough hands to take all of the pictures and video that I always want. I always take a Flip Cam but never end up with much video.

I take my Cannon Rebel, and my Dad has an HD Sony Cam. So between the two of us... we usually have everything covered. And say im on a ride like Tower of Terror, and with someone, say Jess, who hasnt been on the ride, and a big camcorder is too big to hold on the ride, I use my trusty iPhone to document the wonderful experience!

I think I may try and use my iPhone more often on our next trip for video!

I took tons of video with my iphone on our last trip. Actually, I never even used my regular camera. I just took all of our pictures on the phone.

The thing people need to understand with the iPhone is... if there is plenty of light, as in being outside... the iPhone takes great pictures and great video. But once it gets dark say the dark rides like Pirates and Mansion.... its useless. But for a little video recorder? The iPhone is better than the Flips, or any type of video recorder that is that type. And as long as your grip is tight.... the iPhone is perfect for rides!

The Iphone is good in certain situations, I will say that all these are taken with Iphone 4. But I do not like using the flash, and my finger gets in the way a lot.

Hubby and I bought a camera specifically FOR our Disney vacation last year and only really recorded the drive down and arriving at our resort and then it got left in our room for the duration. Even most of our pictures were from our phones and not our actual camera. It's hard to think about taking pictures or video when you're just having fun. This trip I'm going to make a better effort since I'm hoping I won't feel so - for lack of a better word - pressured to get as much in as I possibly can.

Hi! ANParker and welcome to WDWFG, glad you found us. How often do you go to Disney and what are your likes. Tell us all about your food choices at WDW, you will come to see that food is a main topic around here.

Thanks!! I've been to Disney four times total. Two of which we when I was too young to remember much, the third in high school and the fourth was last year with my husband. My last trip was my husband's first and we are returning to The World again this May and possibly October as well! My favorite park is Hollywood Studios and Tower of Terror is my favorite ride. Thus far my favorite restuarant is The 50's Prime Time Diner; but as I was sick for most of my last vacation I ate mostly at the dining hall at POR, which I also enjoyed.
