I get the prepaid CD and I find it to be a great deal, however many photos we get, and it is usually a lot because we are never rushed in the parks. Whenever we find a Photopass photog we stop and let him do his thing, and it usually amounts to 2, 3, or 4 photos per stopand then when we get home we log on to the photopass website and edit them all to add borders etc. so we end up with at least two or three times the original amount of photos taken. All for the prepaid price.

I imagine they can get some pretty fun shots if you're not as rushed as the typical WDW guest!

my whole family went last time, DH, DS, DB-I-L, DN DN and DH, and we all put out photo's together and split it, Fantastic savings there as well.
The PP photographers are always in the perfect spots and have some great ideas for photos.

We never do..we always ask the PhotoPass guy to take pictures for us..and usually it has just worked out that those photos are always better than the PP pictures. I love all the effects but never enough to make me buy them.
The trouble with the CD for me is that we just don't do photopass enough to benefit. We usually end up with MAYBE ten pictures on our photopass card.

I'm always surprised that they don't intentionally make the shots they take for you a little worse than their own. We've typically found that the PP guys take great pictures with our camera. It would be nice to not have to carry a camera, but there's not a photopass guy everywhere. Since you still have to bring your camera, I figure we might as well have the photopass guy use ours.

I'm very frugal and am all about finding a better/cheaper way to do things. With that said, we LOVE PP. One of the most fun parts of our trip was looking at all our PP pictures online then deciding which ones we wanted, applying borders and all that. We got 40% off everything since we transferred the whole vacation's pictures to the MNSSHP PP card. Haven't decided if we're going to do the same this year (MVMCP instead of MNSSHP) or the CD.

That's a good idea. Disney makes a fortune on those no matter what, so that's a good way to get some value out of the experience.

Wow! I've never thought about that! How does it work? Do you have to pay up front?

Our September trip info just arrived in the mail. Included now is a Photo Pass card. You go online before your trip to activate the card. It says this will result in huge savings. We will have to let you know.

If I had one follow me around it would definitely be worth it.

Well, they have those "photo shoots" at the resorts now. Can those go on your CD?

Great question! I think they can. At least, they can sell you a CD with the photos on them. Not sure if they'll be combined with your Photopass pics.

Yes, they will add your photo session to your photopass. We did one in April 2008. After all the edits we ended up with around 600 pictures on our CD

I inquired about this for my trip this past August and they will no longer include them on the same CD. The resort photoshoot is a separate fee now and a separate CD. I was told they changed the policy due to the fact tha you are getting a 45 minute private photo shoot. So, no more photo shoots on the same CD as photopass..you must buy the packages separate!

I figured that would happen eventually... Has anyone done the photo shoot?
