My observations suggest it's a national thing rather than specific to Disney fans. I find many more American's who won't fly than I do Brits or other nations.

In my opinion, and experience, the answer is simple. Europeans travel abroad much more than Americans do. There are a number of reasons for this, not the least of which is the tremendous landmass that is the United States. If you're going to go somewhere in the UK (as on holiday), chances are you're going to HAVE TO take a plane unless you're not in a hurry and take a boat.

dont get excited about space mountain! Its awful, its old and it bangs your head around so much that everyone gets off with a headache, the one in WDW is MUCH better Smile

Wow -- that's really unfortunate! yuck Hopefully people don't have a bad experience in DLRP and skip Space Mtn at WDW or DL as a result! Such a great ride!

I know it! I can not wait to experience the new Space Mountain when I go back. Our last trip was during the big refurb mad I was very bummed when I found out SM wasn't open. A trip just isn't the same for me without it. For me, like many of my generation, Space Mountain was the first 'big ride' I ever went on. My mom bribed me; saying she'd give me five bucks if I went on it and DIDN'T like it. Needless to say, the ride didn't cost her a penny.

Wow! What a good kid to not lie and say you didn't like it just to get the five bucks! laugh

I'm really excited to do Space Mountain, too. Can't wait to see the new queueing areas.

I was bummed too as it was closed while we were there on our honeymoon Sad

That's RIGHT! So close! And now you might get to try the new restaurants in Epcot while you're there (they're supposed to open in September)...
