Dreams Do Come True...

Good Monday Morning Folks..I've searched the engine just in case this question has been asked..Not exactly, so here goes..In 2012 we decided, when staying at PORS for the third time, to check out some deluxe resorts..So we visited The Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge which were really nice, then we visited Wilderness Lodge and both my wife and myself were blown away.I remember saying to her if we ever win the lottery,we will stay here..Well in January of 2014 our dreams came true, no we didn't win the jackpot, but we did get 40% off the WL making it possible for us to afford 12 nights ( Flight home on the 14th day with Virgin was astronomically expensive ) So next year with free DDP and a $200 gift card, and hard saving, our dream of staying once again at WL, this time for 14 nights will come true...Now to my question..Have you ever had a Disney dream come true,?..Maybe a trip with your relatives you thought would never happen, or just being able to take your children on a vacation you always dreamt about...Tell us your dream stories.?.. mickey

That's a big time YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every trip is a dream come true, heck if I had to sleep under and overpass it would still be a dream vacation for us. Where to start! YOAMD we all got the lanyard and pin set (yea way to get my boys into pin trading LOL) We also got 2 free meals. My boys were first into the Character Spot and get their pictures taken with the entire fab 5! We were camped out for a SWW day and my little guy was picked to be in the parade. My little guy also got to pull the sword out of the stone. Due to a computer mishap I got my Christmas ornaments 50% off once. Both my guys had been the rebel spy twice on the same day. Just experiencing ETWB, and my ds' birthday card from her after eating at BOG. Even without all the extra special magic Disney is still a dream come true sprinkled with some extra strong pixie dust.

Yes, I promised myself when I was young that I would visit every Disney park worldwide. I was an obsessed kid in Southern Calif but It was always one my list of things to do especially after seeing pictures from Disney World and Tokyo. Well I competed that task (at least until Shanghai opens) in 2013. We were lucky enough to visit 4 parks in that one calendar year. DL in Jan, WDW in Sept, Tokyo and Hong Kong in Oct. The DW ixnayed returning to Paris.

Exploring the Hong Kong park was absolutely a blast. I had such a sense of accomplishment. I know how lucky i've been and I'm planning extending that luck to Shanghai by 2017-2018. I have a teeshirt that says "I did it!" and on the back are the listed dates of my Disney accomplishments. I wear it on every disney trip.

I am also waiting on that lottery win so I can buy a house at Golden Oak and really enjoy the Disney magic all year round!

Going to Disney World at all was my dream. I mentioned in another thread recently that I always thought WDW was a pipe dream due to the cost. We couldn't even come close to affording it as a kid so being able to go now is awesome. Taking my mom to WDW was a dream too. She always wanted to take us as kids so being able to go with her and just spend the time with her was outstanding.

Going to Disneyland and taking my parents back to WDW were dreams that I thought were out of reach before we bought DVC. It's expensive and sometimes when the dues is due I freak out, but there are so many amazing experiences that we've been able to enjoy because of this amazing program.

Another thing was something that Disney inspired me to do. I never had any desire to run a race of any kind until I saw my friend Beth doing runDisney events. There was so much fanfare and spectacle and the allure of running through backstage areas was just too great to miss. I'll be doing my second runDisney event this fall and I still can't believe most days that I've been able to do this training and participate in these events.
