Enchanted Tales with Belle

This seems like one of the better character experiences that you can have at WDW. It'll be in the new Fantasyland, and I first saw it on Disney Parks Blog. Below is a video that will tell you what you need to know from Imagineers. Definitely looks like something that'd be perfect for your little princess. However, it does not seem at all accommodating to adults or guests who are teens, but that's not a problem for a lot of guests. Check it out here:

I don't understand how that's not accommodating? It looked like there were large spaces (large enough to maneuver an ecv) , and there was plenty of bench seating to watch the play (something important to many adults). I'm sure that who gets picked for the roles will depend on the make up of your audience group. If you had an older audience group then older people would be given roles.

It does seem more geared towards younger children, but I think that holds true for Fantasyland in general. This seems like a fantastic way to step up the current style of meet and greets. I wonder how many story rooms that there actually are and often they will be able to push guests through this attraction.

I guess that actually is true. Fantasyland is a big child's land. I do love the way that the kids will get to interact with Belle first-hand in the parks without waiting for hours in a line. That's pretty cool.

I mean if you think of it this way, it might not be as interactive for adults as would be a normal meet-and-greet. If you have little boys or girls, it's great and a good idea, but it'd be better for a group of adults/teens to go to a regular meet and greet (all though the line is huge) to meet Belle at City Hall.

I thought the same thing Hardy. I wish it was a little more grownup or something. I will go once to see it but probably skip it altogether knowing it is so kindergarten like. We just don't have little ones.

Which is sad because Belle is my favorite princess.

I don't remember going to Askershus (It was like 6 years ago, and we went to so many other meals that I don't even remember), but my sister and mom went this year and said that Belle is truly an angel there. She said she was so nice to my little sister and the interaciton there was amazing. Maybe that would be the best place if meeting Belle is a must do?

I like the idea of meeting Belle at the castle. I enjoy watching the faces and reactions of little ones as they see the characters. It gives me as much enjoyment as the little ones.

I was so excited to get to participate in Enchanted Tales with Belle while I was in the Magic Kingdom last week. Becks, her fiance and I were exploring the New Fantasyland when we decided to stand in line to visit Maurice's cottage. The detail is fantastic, and though it was late at night when we went through the queue there was a lot to keep your attention with special touches you'll remember right out of the movie.

Inside the cottage is fun to explore and there's even a sort of scavenger hunt to help you pass the times as you wait by finding special items that pay homage to other Disney Princesses. It was obvious to us that we would be moving forward in our journey with a mixed group of adults and children. Once in the workshop you could feel the excitement building as we all gathered in front of the work bench and in front of the mirror that was a gift from the Beast. With a few magic words suddenly the mirror sparked to life with glittering power and began to transform into a portal to the castle.

Untitled

The cast member opened the gate and welcomed us to walk through the magic portal and discover the world beyond. We found ourselves in the wardrobe room where she greeted us and explained that we were going to be part of a wonderful surprise for Belle, but that first we would need to be assigned parts and to practice a little. Though we didn't have any children with us we were having a lot of fun. I even got picked to portray the Wardrobe in the little play, other adults were chosen to be suits of armor.

Untitled Untitled Untitled

Into the Library we went where we were greeted by Lumiere! I loved hoe they did Lumiere, it was really neat, the mechanics are hidden within plain site but through excellent lighting and a little extra fabric unless you're straining your eyes to figure out what's going on the effect is seamless and you really believe that he's come to life before you. Outstanding! Then we got to meet Belle, who was luminous as always.

Untitled

We put on the play for her, and afterwards the participants had their pictures taken with her and received a special book mark for participating. We were then ushered out and the people who participated were given photo passes with pictures of their parts in the show with Belle.

Over all it was a lot of fun! Even having the experience without my own kids I found myself and my companions laughing and singing our way through the experience. There's no reason at all an adult shouldn't head straight for this attraction. The play is fun and funny, the cast members are friendly and the magical details are truly worth the time.

Kristen, I got picked to the be the wardrobe on our trip as well. Too funny...us Kristens must make good wardrobes either that or they chose us for our singing voices! My niece thought it was fantastic that I participated with her. I had so much fun!

Oh a definate must to do now in April. Don't have any little ones anymore but my husband and I love to see other people's children react to the characters. You never know what kids are going to say.

I thought it was great! I think it's a meet n greet for those who really love beauty and the beast. We had more adults than kids volunteer with Madame Wardrobe. Is it something I need to do every time I go...no (well eating a BoG might be) but is it totally worth it to experience? I say heck yeah man!
That entry way to the castle is worth its weight in gold...I do believe in magic idoidoido!

We went to this not knowing a thing about it and I was totally bowled over! It was amazing. I was picked to play the wardrobe and loved it. It's one of the best things I've done in Disney for a long time.

I'm so happy to hear that people are enjoying this so much. At first there was a lot of rumbling that it wouldn't be something adults enjoy. It's great to know that's not the experience most are having.

Another vote for "AWESOME" with us and we don't have kids either! Neither of us were characters but we still loved the whole experience and enjoyed watching...super cute!
