Epcot "Swim" tours

Hello! Has anyone ever done the Epcot Dolphin In-depth or the snorkel one? I can't decide which one to do! confused I have been to Discovery Cove and absolutely loved it! I was also lucky enough to snorkel with wild spinner dolphins in Hawaii, it was the greatest thing EVER!!!!!!!!

I am wondering how much "interaction" time there is with the dolphins in the dolphin tour. It seems like maybe you are looking at them thru the tank or from the surface? And just a short photo op at the end?

It looks like the snorkel tour lets you snorkel in the tank for about 30 mins and see a variety of critters.....
Has anyone tried these? TIA

Do you not want to do Discovery Cove again for cost/time reasons?

Are you certified to dive? There's one where you can dive in the tank too. I think either one (the snorkeling or the scuba one) would be really cool. From what I've read though it seems more observational than Discovery Cove. I'm just going on hearsay though.

Hi, All! Thanks for all the replies. I don't want to do Discovery Cove again because it is quite pricey and is pretty much an all day event. Plus, I am interested to see how Disney does these types of experiences! I am not a diver, in fact a rather timid snorkeler! silly
Bali, thanks for the links to all the reviews. It helps to have info from someone who actually did the tour. They both sound really good!
I think I am leaning towards the snorkeling one (Why can't I keep the name in my head?)
After we go (August), I'll post a review! Thanks, again!

I think that's the Aqua Seas Tour. Can't wait to read the review!

I'd like to hear your review, too Lauri. We're headed down in October and are trying all sorts of new things this trip.

Would you recommend Discovery Cove to someone who hasn't been?

Yes, I would absolutely recommend doing Discovery Cove. They teach you a lot first and then you are standing in the water for about 30 mins. You get to toss fish to the dolphins, do hand signals for them to respond by doing a jump, pose for pics "nose to nose", touch the dolphin on her side, and best of all, hold on to a top fin and a side fin and let the dolphin pull you into the shallows!!!! clapping It was great fun. Then for the rest of the day, you get to enjoy snorkeling, their beach, lunch (included), etc. It was worth the money and an excellent experience......but having done it once, I'd like to maximize precious Disney time and try something new. mickey

Sounds great! I wish there was more dolphin time...
