ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Does anyone ever go here? I mean I've been for packet pick up before 5K's but I haven't really explored the complex or seen what there is to offer. We took a taxi and honestly, the driver didn't even know where we were talking about. He had to call into dispatch for directions!

What would encourage you to head to the complex during your vacation?

I thought about going over there to check it out until I saw you had to pay to get in. I wouldn't mind going to an event there.

We always "say" we are going to go and we always get free admission with the Disney Military tickets, but we never seem to make it there. We did try to go once and waited for the bus at the resort for like 45 minutes and we gave up!

We used to go there all the time when the All Star Cafe was there. It was good sit down food and not ever crowded (probably why they closed it and put in a cafeteria-type restaurant). We've also been there for a few friends sporting events, maybe a cheerleading event once, gymnastics meet? not sure, never my kids. We have also spent time there for the marathon, the health and fitness exhibit and packet pick up was always there. The big spaghetti-carb dinner the night before used to be there too, not sure if they even do it anymore or where it is. It's a nice venue, we've also been to a few baseball games there. Not much to see if you have to pay to get in and aren't there for a specific event.

I had been wondering about going also. The Braves (I think that is the team) will be training when we are there. Even though I don't follow baseball it seemed like something different to try. My husband does follow baseball a little and was open to going.

That sounds fun DisneyAmyy! I think it's so neat that professional sports teams use the facility all the time. This year they signed a contract with Major League Soccer teams as well!

We can get in free with our premium annual passes so we might check it out in November when it's just me and hubby
