I'm sooooo bummed out about this. I mean I'm not surprised as I've heard multiple people saying that they were the only ones on the buses each time they took it, but I'm still bummed. Our January itinerary was planned around utilizing this option to it's full advantage. I never even got to try it :-/

Yeah joining the very sad crowd....I was really looking forward to making use of this. I believe the rationale is that eventually Minnie Vans will fulfill what is apparently a very small need and they will be more efficient for Disney/ more expensive for us.

We've got a fair bit of park hopping scheduled for our next trip, and we were going to use express transportation as well. I wish they'd at least keep it going till the end of the year so more of us could use it.

The Minnie Vans are cool as far as their look goes. But until they roll out to every resort, it's just a "perk" for the higher end resorts. And the fact that they don't pick up and drop off "in the parks" is in no way replacing this service.

That makes sense for Disney, I'm disappointed though.

The biggest advantage I saw to the Express Transportation was the bypassing of the security at the second park. Now I may change my tune a bit if the Minnie Vans eventually make this a possibility as well. If they are able to take the same route backstage into each park if you were already in a park at pickup (hence already having gone through security), I might see more of advantage in taking a Minnie Van ride or two over the traditional $8 Uber ride.

I wonder if they are also under pressure to step up security so that anyone and everyone has to go through security at each park. Because essentially, an Express Transportation vehicle would be considered a "secure" zone. But perhaps that trust level has been challenged or compromised in some way. Especially if its just a car or minivan.

yeah I'd pay $20 to only have to go through security 1 time per day.
