Yes you are right you can only book 3 a day and that 3 has to be in the same park...meaning you can do 2 in MK and 1 in Epcot for the same day. And from what I heard they are also stopping you from doing what I call 'main rides'. Meaning in Epcot if you want a FP for Soaring and Test Track using the 60 days to set it up via My Disney Experience and you want to do it on the same day the system will not let you now. You can only do one...either Soaring or Test Track but not both..which I think is lousy. I was there in October and I could select both but from what I now see you won't be able to.

At 60 days out you can start booking for FastPasses. And what was said by kathys is right. As of now, only 3 passes a day and all on the same park. And like Epcot has pick 2 in one category and 1 from the other. Like she said, can't do both Test Track and Sourin......we picked Test Track.

And as of now this is only of your staying on site. If your staying off site you nook your passes when you get in the ark that day.

You can select up to three fastpasses a day per park. You can not use one or two fastpasses in one park then use the rest at another park. You are locked into the park you use your fastpasses at. You can select them 60 days out if you are staying at a Disney resort. You can modify the fastpasses as long as they are not used. Epcot and Hollywood Studios have the tiered system. At Epcot you can choose one from Soarin', Test Track, Maelstrom and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth then you can choose two from the rest. Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic!, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Toy Story Midway Mania and Beauty and the Beast live on stage to choose from one. If you have any more questions, I will be more then happy to answer them. You should be able to modify fastpasses when you are at the park from a smart phone or tablet with the my Disney experience app as long as your park tickets and resort reservation are linked to it.

Cheers Mandy...This technology thing is getting me bamboozled...We are staying at WL but with 60 days out..If I start booking FP at different attractions,I'am gonna need to work out what park I'll be at on that certain day..Phew!..

Hi King! You do have to plan out what day you are going to be in which park before you pick out your FP. We always get the earlier times for our favs then we aren't in that park all day if we want to park hop. We always get park hopper so we can move around! Good luck! Hope you get the ones you want!

Cheers Boomer..Yeh, I'll have a shot nearer the time, but I think I'll go on the wing..Hopefully October is a lot more quieter than July...

just as another option you could pick out a day for each of the parks to get the main rides booked in advance and then nearer the time say a day or 2 before when you have a better idea of where you might want to go try and get last minute fastpass + reservations and if you couldn't, well you always have the ones you booked in advance? then you're not tying yourself down to every day but still have the chance to ride the rides with longer waits???

hope this makes some sort of sense!

It does..Cheers..Once I get my dates up for October which I believe will be in April...I'll work out the early morning ones..I'am a early bird rather than a late one...Thanks again..

When we were there, you could still book whichever top rides you wanted on the phone. It was great and I really liked it to be able to do it ahead of time. We did what 93boomer said, picked all morning times so we could park hop later if we wanted. Now that you can't pick 3 main attractions, I don't think I would like it as much any more.

do you have a special website you use? because I use easywdw.com and he is usually really good with positing opening time etc and they should be up within the next few months because its up to august already!

Just to throw a different twist on the FP+ timing, we did some early morning, but we also did some mid afternoon or evening FP+. That way we weren't tied down to FP+ reservations and times during the 9-11am window when crowds tend to be lighter and then we weren't stuck waiting in line all afternoon because our FP+'s were gone. Usually we did this on a day that we were park hopping, so it allowed us to ride several headliner attractions in 2 parks on the same day. For example, one morning we went to MK at rope drop and rode BTMR, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight in the AM all on standby and then went back to SSR took a nap. We went to EPCOT around 4:00 and rode Soarin', Test Track (we were lucky to book in the short window where you could have both on the same day), and did photos at EPCOT Character Spot. If you know yourself and know how you tour, this can really work to your advantage. On other days, we scheduled early AM FP+ so we could be more spontaneous the rest of the day. Both strategies were equally good if used under the right circumstances.
