Maybe it has to do when we go to WDW, but we have never had to use more than 2-3 FP's in the parks before the change, so this works good for us. I especially like it for TSM at DHS, since you don't have to be there at park opening and run for the back. You know ahead of time when you need to be there. Based on our first experience with this in January, I think it's a great system. awesome

Well Mandy I truly hope the don't go down to 1 or 2 FP as I find 3 hard to decide especially with the tier system in Epcot and Disney Hollywood. I always did 4 - 5 FP a day and now that they have added rights that weren't FP eligible before (and not just rides...fireworks and parades) how can they think of going less...need more. I say if you don't want them don't use them right?
But why stop people who would use them and do?

True for us too, Jan. We might end up not using ours in April. Or at least, not using all of them. We always go at low times and we're in the parks early anyway. With good planning, last year on crowd level 4ish days I don't think I ever used a FP and pretty much walked right onto everything.

Yeah, I have no problems picking/using three in Magic Kingdom or really Animal Kingdom, but the tiers at Hollywood Studios and EPCOT really harsh my vibe. Though with some of the wait times I was seeing on MDE this weekend (a 70 minute wait for Spaceship Earth?!?!), maybe I'll need those tier two fps more than I anticipate.

Ok, I thought I had a good handle on this but now I'm confused. What are the kiosks you're talking about, Mandy? Is that only for if you didn't preselect your FP+ attractions?

When I was there in November, I noticed the tiering...but when I had to change my selections, that didn't seem to apply, so I had FP+s for ToT, RnR, and TSMM all in one day after making some changes. I don't know if that still works, though.

Awesome! So it was only for your initial pick you were limited to the tiers?

Yea the kiosks are mostly for day guests to set up the fastpasses. If you are staying at a resort and can't get the app to work like it should, then you would come to us to change anything.

You still have to pick within the tiers even after you pick them Taratru.

Maybe now, but then I was able to change to any available ride. It's probably been fixed by now, but it was awesome then!

Remember it was President's Day weekend...usually higher crowd levels than usual for this time of year.

The fast pass for Be Our Guest lunch doesn't count as one of the three, does it?

Oh, I know. But I also saw a 60+ minute wait for It's A Small World one day and that's just insaaaaaaaane. Plus just let me have a moment of thinking the tiers are useful to me. laugh

This past weekend we were expecting 57,000 of our closest friends at MK for a couple days. Friday was Valentines day then we had Presidents day plus it doesn't help that our lovely South American friends are here as well. Close to 1,000 of them I think. I had helped two groups of them set up fastpasses and both groups had at least 50 cards. Another group had like 350 people. So that also helped contribute to the wait times. I think we also had cheer and dance teams here as well.

Seems like The holidays is when most people are complaining about the new system, when in fact the line would probably be long regardless.

Just to let you all know, the fastpass+ location inside of Town Square Theater no longer exists. It has been moved to the Tomorrowland Terrace in the mornings. That location usually closes up between 12 and 2 since that's when the restaurant opens for lunch.

If I have made FP+s, but die before I get to use them, do my heirs get to use them or do they get recycled?

Mandy...can you tell me how group travel will work now for fastpasses? I'm bringing 20 students. Will they all be able to access their own stuff online if they create an account? Or will they have to go to the kiosks once in the park? Any thoughts on what I can tell them to do?

More importantly, will *I* be able to do mine online? biggrin

I'm not really sure about school travel. Most school groups we get, don't have the tickets linked to the magicbands. If you can link the tickets to my Disney Experience then you should be able to pre-select. At MK we have cast members outside Town Square Theater just for large groups to get them fastpasses.

Hmm...I might just link mine and the other adults' when we get them, then, and let the kids fend for themselves. All the room reservations are in my account, so I have the ability to link all (all 20!) of them and make fp+, but that might be a little too much, even for me!

Can anyone tell me if there is a site that lists where the FP+ kiosks are? We will have our "alloted three" before we go, but I was also told that if there is a surplus after a certain time, they have been allowing people to get a fourth. I would like to know where those places are and not wander around aimlessly....unless there is a drink involved....oh wait, not before a ride..... Stare Stare

The Splash Mountain Kiosk was closed a couple months ago. You also left out the ones in Tomorrowland by Stitch's Great Escape and beside Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. There is also kiosks at Tomorrowland Terrace from park opening until noon or so. There is also Kiosks located next to Jungle Cruise as well. The kiosks inside City Hall at Magic Kingdom are self-service. Town Square Theater no longer has kiosks, that also closed a couple months ago.

I just realized that you said you took it from TouringPlans.com. I sent them an email. It says it was updated on March 24, 2014.

Thought I would bring this Thread back up instead of starting a new one and hopefully someone will know the answers!

1) once I have used my 3 FP at say EPCOT and am going to HS later in the day can I make those FP at a kiosk at EPCOT or would I have to do it at HS??

2) if I have FP for test track, character spot and spaceship earth after I have used my Test Track FP (Tier 1) can I then change my Spaceship earth FP for Soarin' (if there was availability) or would I have to choose another tier 2 attraction?

3) Am I right in thinking that I can book my extra FP after the window for my 3rd FP has opened (example my last scheduled FP is for 12.40-1.40 so I can book a 4th from 12.40???

Thanks in advance to anybody who can help answer these questions I'm in the process of sorting our daily touring plans out!!!!
