Do you stay there a lot Vettelover?

Not as much as I would like, but then it never is, I try for at least once a year but sometimes I go to one of the other DVC resorts. My next trip is Jan. at AKL Jambo House.

What a beautiful resort that is. Do you know if you can use both pools if you're staying at Jambo House? I think you can, but you never know with these things wink

Annie, you should be able to use either or both pools, as "pool hopping" is one of the "perks" that DVC members are allowed. There is only one pool that I know of that you can't use while pool hopping and that is Stormalong Bay pool at the Yacht and Beach Club.

Beautiful. There's just something about a somewhat gray, cloudy day to me. I love it!

Vettelover is correct about the DVC member pool hopping policy. I would add though, that you must be a DVC member staying on points to pool hop. Like he said, pool hopping is never allowed at Beach and Yacht Clubs (Stormalong Bay or the secondary pools), the pools at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Animal Kingdom Villas, and the pool at Bay Lake Tower.

Otherwise, DVC members staying on points can pool hop at any pool at a DVC resort or any WDW Resort hotel. There are, however, certain 'blackout' dates that apply. In addition, a 'pool-hopper' may be denied access or asked to leave if the pool reaches capacity.

Otherwise, any guest staying at a WDW resort can use any pool at that resort.

Do pools post capacity numbers? That's great information to have! I had no idea, but I DO know I don't want to be anywhere near a Disney pool that has reached capacity!

Admin, I think they consider a pool to be at capacity is when you can walk from one side of the pool over the water to the other side and NOT get wet. laugh biggrin eek Sorry I just could not resist that. My bad!!

I think I've seen pools that full and they weren't turning people away. I think maybe capacity is when it's like that but two levels deep.

Fun shots of GF and Boardwalk, guys! I haven't been in so long that it's nice to take the "tour" through your eyes.

had a really neat-o picture to put in here, but it said there was something wrong with it...oh well...

Would love to see it. Might be it's just too large to post. You could host it on imageshack or photobucket and re-size it...then post with the IMG tags...?

Not sure how fast it is, but it's the smallest and most expensive one on crescent lake!

This is where Donna and I stayed on our honeymoon. It is, in fact, a very cozy reception area. All sounds are very much muffled and we felt like there was nobody else in there.

Agreed! The low, wide couches absorb sound and the division into little individual "living spaces" does make AKL's lobby really cozy and "homey." It really does feel like you're the only ones there.
