Oh this is so interesting.

I always found a few pics of tent camping, with one person renting cots from FW. They had 2 in their tent, a fan, plastic dressers and a carpet inside! It was quite the set up. I love camping, but still wouldn't 'tent it up' at disney. (Sorry Jess, lol)

How much does something like that cost?!?

I think that even if they'd set up my tent and give me plastic dressers I'd still stay at Pop Century. biggrin

Some were running around $800 for the week for a smaller rv with plumbing/shower, but for larger they went up to around $1200 for the week.

Hahha, yes...a very wise woman (my mother) is fond of saying, "My idea of roughing it is the Wilderness Lodge."

So true. Dave is all into camping...he always wants to go but I never do.

Yep, so is J...although once we started discussing the meaning of "camping" I found out he meant "staying in an RV," which, as we discussed, is hardly camping. We tent camped in Key West a couple of years ago in March because there was an event that I really, really, really wanted to go to - badly enough to tent-camp! And I actually had to talk HIM into doing it! (I won, btw Smile )

I did enough camping and roughing it for outdoor concerts. I like soft squishy beds now. and BIG tubs

Hmm. Sounds really intriguing. Pop Century would be cheaper, but I kind of like the idea of doing the RV camping thing! I have a nostalgic thing for it -- back in the day when my family would vacation up on one of the great lakes, we used to go play in a playground in an RV camping area. I was always a little bit jealous of those houses on wheels.

Yeah, pop would be cheaper, but I'm thinking about the space and the fridge and a place for cereal etc. Plus the ability to sit outside in the woods. (with lots of mosquito repellent of course, lol)

I have a pet theory that there is a mosquito forcefield around WDW property, Katrina. You'll have to tell me if my theory is valid or not Smile
