Getting close to the trip! Ideas for romantic surprises?

All right, we're about a month away from the trip now, and you guys (LIFL and Teacherdrama, specifically, but I'm sure Vettelover, Joe, MT, cdub, dsoup, and others as well) seem to have the romantic surprise thing down! I'd love some suggestions. Did you come across anything in your research that's relatively inexpensive and arrangeable a month out? All suggestions are welcome!

Along the lines of what we've been talking about lately; you can plan your own scavenger hunt. Write a sweet note that has a clue on where to find another note and/or gift. Of course, you know best, what your DW likes so you should be able to make it just right for her. You can have as many steps as you like, but I would suggest ten or so unless you're looking to make it an all day (or night wink ) event. Then you can have a bigger gift at the end, maybe something that leads to the next activity. You can do this while your honey is sleeping, at the hotel or resort. Another thing I like to do is mail a gift or gifts to the resort ahead of time. That way, you can have things waiting there where DW/DH will have no idea.

Generally speaking, I would just suggest, taking some time now (and it looks like you're on the right track) to think about the type of things your love would enjoy most. Some of the surprises can be things you would normally do anyway. Such as an ADR at her favorite restaurant. You can make plans like that while not letting on that you have. That way, when she's expecting counter service and you take a wrong turn and end up at her favorite spot to eat date . Other simple things I would recommend are breakfast in bed, maybe some love vouchers (for things like massage, foot rub, etc. - preferably things that don't happen all the time), and flowers are always nice. Often times, even when the hotel does not officially have a concierge, you can arrange to have them pick something up for you.

Yeah, a simple/easy scavenger hunt that shows you put some time into it is great.

I really like the idea of a little scavenger hunt. Maybe I'll take her to each one of the resorts and have the front desk give her different parts of her gift like a puzzle.

I'm also playing with the idea of "proposing" to her again. Too cheesy?

I like the front desk idea and no I don't think proposing again is too cheesy; long as it isn't something you plan on doing every trip:) If it's a special occasion, for a special lady, I think it's totally appropriate (especially for an anniversary).

I think proposing again would be great (agreed with LIFL that it's not an every trip thing, probably). What are your plans?

the idea of proposing again...like that one commercial where they go to Italy and he proposes again.

As long as you don't do it every year...it would be super sweet.

Do you have to shout out "I Love This Woman!"
