I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this, I'm both excited and cautious. I feel like a LOT of Disney's "new technologies" being put out are screen based and they are getting away from the animatronics - but this works for Mickey and Minnie so Yay! I think its going to be fun.

I'm really glad we rode this twice back in January (our last trip). I'll miss the GMR, but I understand the update. So does that make Indy's stunt show the last remaining attraction from when the park opened?

I think a good way for this to go would be to start with animatronic figures and to eventually end with the digital displays. That way Mickey could 'evolve' throughout the ride - athough I dislike the current version of Mickey as it is so far away from how I remember him!

I'm not a big fan of this animation style - but its what the kids today are seeing. Using this style means that the ride will stay current longer than if older versions were used. Those young kids will want to go on this ride that puts them into the cartoons over and over.

Yep, definitely not a fan of that version of Mickey...>_<

I'm gonna need to do a plan of the ride I have in mind and see whether it ever matches anything that the Imagineers actually produce! Who's got a floorplan of the current ride?

I'm really excited about this change. I really like the Great Movie Ride, but I can't remember the last time I had two good Cast Members as the ride actors. They have been AWFUL for about my last 6-7 rides. And we don't ride this ride every time, so it's probably 4-5 years for of trips since we got a decent pair.

I love all of the versions of classic Mickey and when I draw him myself, I always draw classic, but I also like the new style. I think it's kind of neat that it is essentially part of the human experience to have grown up with Mickey Mouse, yet every generation's childhood Mickey Mouse is slightly different.

I think I've worked out a version of the Mickey Ride...at least how I'd see it being developed. Who wants to see?

Ok, my view on how the Mickey ride might be...it's highly unlikely it'll be as historic as this and I reckon it will concentrate more on modern Mickey, but I think mine shows the evolution of the mouse...

That would be cool Sid! Here's the talk from D23 where they announced the attraction.

I should say any resemblance to what was announced at D23 is purely coincidental...I truly haven't watched anything from D23 yet!
