So iam just having a wee coffee here in my sun lounge ( where's the sun ) and I've just read that WL is twenty years old this year..I was wondering if any of the resorts do any special on certain birthdays.?..Does any one know which was the first resort to be built....?....I know that AoA is the last but wondered if anyone out there has a list of what resorts were the first ones built.
The Contemporary, The Poly and Ft Wilderness Campground were the only three resorts when Magic Kingdom open. Not sure which was the first completed.
The Poly by 20 minutes. The Polynesian and the Contemporary where the first two resorts. The Poly got finished getting the sod down first and beat the Contemporary by 20 minutes opening. On Oct 1, 1971.

Ft Wilderness officially opened on Nov 19, 1971.
