Same to you! It's beautiful and HOT in southern Ontario. We have been very lucky this year - almost every holiday weekend has been fabulous weather. Perfect day to barbecue, get to the beach, or just kick back and do nothing (my personal favourite!)

What is tidal bore rafting? Sounds exciting and dangerous all at once!

Your totally right Jeff Tidal bore rafting is fun and dangerous all at the same time! The bay of fundy has the worlds highest tides ( the tidal bore) and the shubie river off the bay of fundy fills up with water so quickly it creates huge waves 10 to 16 feet! Imagine it like water sloshing against the side of a bowl! To give you a reference the water level rises 20-30 feet in 2 hours.
So basically you hold on for dear life and scream at the top of your lungs (you also go mud sliding on the river banks...which is super messy and fun) then after 2-3 hours you kiss dry land and have a big BBQ. Fun times in the maritimes! I have done it least once a summer for the past 8 years, it's always one of the funnest summer days every year....I highly recommend it if your ever in this neck of the woods!

And thanks for the info on the tidal bore rafting, petriedish. Now if I am ever in our neck of the woods and someone asks me to go, I'll know exactly what I am getting myself into! Haha.
