Have you been to the tequila bar in Mexico

Yesterday, Mom and I went to Epcot for one last F&W Fest trip around the world. We took a break from all the F&W booths to duck into Mexico and try a margarita at the Tequila Cave, something we've been promising ourselves we'd do for ages. Oh. My. Goodness. It was divine...one of the BEST margaritas I've ever had. We had the cucumber, made with El Mayor white tequila, triple sec, caramelized pineapple juice, fresh basil, cucumber, and agave nectar syrup. The not so salty rim was flavored with lemongrass and cactus. A lot goin' on but YUM. Pricey, but worth every penny imo.

Have you tried any of the Cave's new fangled margaritas? What's your favorite?

We'd like to try the blood orange or pineapple next. And I'm totally going to try and make caramelized pineapple juice at home!

Cucumber sounds delicious. I love margies but I feel like the frozen ones at the booth outside are very strong!

Wow - that looks awesome too...and I wonder what this magical thing is they call a "sample"? I definitely need to get in on that action!

It was busy when we were there...not a seat to be had, so we took our drinks and left...but they also had a few snacky food offerings, which might have come in handy. After a pour of Malbec from the Argentina and then the margarita, I was, well, happy. Smile

If you need a drinking buddy in May, just holler Smile
