Have you done any spa treatments?

I would love to splurge and get a spa treatment done! Has anyone done anything and where?

I've done lots of spa treatments, but never at disney, I don't have the time and they are overpriced, though it's mainly the time. I wait until I get home.

I love the seaweed wrap and massage I've gotten in vegas and on RCCL cruises.

Locally, I do hot stone massages and swedish massages pretty regularly.

If they have something called a 'float' that you lie in while in a wrap letting it soak in, pay for it, it's soooo worth the extra money. I have never been so relaxed in my life, it's like you are weightless and surrounded by a warm feeling.

I can't speak to the Disney spas but the massages at the Gueralain Spa at the Hilton Bonnet Creek/Waldorf Astoria are pretty phenomenal! And I did have the best massage of my life at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando, a 90 minute scalp and body massage....oh my word totally worth the money! mickey

I haven't but friends have done massages at GF and raved about them. I don't really like strangers touching me and I don't mind hair treatments, manis, or pedis relaxing so spa days are definitely not for me. lol I'm not so great at being a girl lol

Thanks for this heads up. I'm going on a 3 day RCCL cruise in a few days. From your recommendation, I'm thinking of trying a spa treatment. Hmmm...spa treatment? Or Pina Coladas? Hmmm....

Sign up for a spa treatment when you get on board and ask what specials they'll have thru out the week, you'll probably get a discount on one, so you can get the pina colada too! I don't think RCCL has the float, did that in Vegas but they do have the seaweed wrap, oh so good!

I've done a spa day at SSR before about 2 years ago.
It was pretty pricey even with a DVC discount.

I treated Mom and my Aunt for the day and it was about $600 for a massage and facial for each of us.
Mom bought some of their anti-aging facial products afterwards.

It was a nice experience if you have money to burn.

They have a nice jacuzzi you can relax in after your treatments.
They also give you fruit and an assortment of teas.

I think I'd rather try out the Aveda institute next time.
It's definitely much cheaper.

I had my nails done at the Grand Floridian Spa, It's a lovely facility, but they're closing on Sept 18th. The Saratoga Springs Spa is a little smaller, but also run by Niki Bryan Spas and I hear it's very nice. I'll be booking pre-wedding events at SSR Spa for my BFF's wedding in June. I've also heard that the Spa at the Swan/Dolphin is very nice, but that the employees are super chatty.

HA! - good to know...I am not so much about the chattiness when I am spa-ing. Neither am I about the upselling. It just ruins the whole mellow you just got!

I would really like to get something done at the SSR spa next time I'm there, even if its just getting my nails done or something.
Does anyone know of a website that has a menu with prices at all? I can't seem to find that online anywhere.

I was curious myself on the prices. I found this site.

Good to know! I don't like chattiness! Tongue
