Have you ever stopped someone from cutting or moving up in line?

I have wanted to plenty of times. But have you ever done it?

Yep, a group of 3 were pushing through the line to catch up with 2 mates, so I stood so that they couldn't get past me and ignored their grunts and nudges for me to move.

Unfortunately, Mrs T made me move, even after I pointed out that if they wanted to be together the smaller group ahead should wait for the larger group. She was convinced there was going to be a big fight and we'd get kicked out.

Being 3 people further down the line didn't bother me, it was more about the principle of it.

Yes I have. A few times, I am of a rather LARGE stature and have no tolerance for line cutters so when someone tries to forge ahead I take a stand and literally turn around and face them and remind them as to where the back of the line is. And if the claim they do not speak english, I have a few hand gestures that can get the point across. I have also found that when someone takes the initiative to confront them, that person does get some backing from the surrounding people. And believe me I am neither shy nor timid nor bashful.

Ehhh... if they are trying to get with a group... I dont mind it. We never know why they are just now joining. They may had to go potty? Got caught by a mob of baby strollers? Chip and Dale may had hijacked them and was making fun of them and pranking them? Maybe they got sick while riding Peter Pans Waiting Line... I mean Peter Pans Flight. Or maybe they were eating a churo and was afraid someone may steal it while they were in line? Hate putting this but anyone sensing the sarcasm now because if I dont put this line someone may have thought I was being serious? biggrin

If a family tells me they are with a group up ahead I would probably give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially if they had a younger kid with them.

If they are teenagers..heck no. That happened to us once. We had a group of about 6 teenagers come barreling up the line at ToT telling everyone in their path they were with friends up ahead while not really being respectful about it at all. Oh, but then they met Dave. The high school teacher who saw right through them. We were pretty far back in the line all the way outside near the fountains. He asked where their friends were..they said "ahead"..Dave said "you should have stuck with the group..go to the end of the line". They did and everyone clapped. At that moment it was like I was married to some sort of local celebrity.

I am not a fan of confrontation at all!! I would much rather ignore it and try not to let it ruin my good time than get bother by it, there are so many other things that people do that bother me more.

I'm with you on this one....I wouldnt throw a fit if a few ppl cut in front....but if a whole herd of kids flew by I would probably start to get a little pissed

I really wish I had pics of Vettelover's line enforcement and Dave's shining star moment. I would TOTALLY cheer both of you Smile

its really bad in DLP, and i have said stuff in the past while they stare blankly at me pretending they have no idea what i'm saying. One group in front of us were calling their friends and i just outright said to them 'NO! If you want to ride with friends YOU go BAK to them' they tried arguing (in french i think) but i stood my ground and they went back to their friends, they probably called me rude names but i didnt care Laughing out loud

It's vacation. I try not to get upset over things and just go with the flow so I tend to ignore it.
