Hello! New and Excited!

Hi guys!
So glad that I found this site while doing some "googling." I love all of the great posts i've seen and cant wait to contribute to this awesome fan site! Everyone seems so friendly, and full of great information! My family is planning a trip for my dad's 60th bday in November and I cant wait to ask questions about planning, and any new information we may need. We have been going to Disney before I could and just about every 2-3 years after that. This will be the first time that I am doing most of the planning, and this will be my fiance's first time to Disney World!
Nice to meet everyone!

p.s. My username is from my love of Labradors (I have a 1yr old Lab Brandy) and my Dallas Cowboys fandom.

Hello, fellow newbie! Isn't this a great site? They are honest about being enablers!! LOL Congratulations on your trip and good luck with the planning.

We were there the week before Christmas and it was wonderful. Crowded, slightly hectic, but wonderful. mickey I wish we had spent more time in Epcot and experienced the various Christmas Celebrations from around the world. Also, it was so magical to sit and listen to the Candle Light Processional from a nearby bench. My little ones wouldn't sit through the entire performance, but we did catch a bit of the caroling that just really put us all in the Christmas spirit. Definitely an extra magical time to visit!

RobynPrincess: thank you! We are going the first week in November, so I dont think the crowds will be too bad. We went once for Thanksgiving and it was the only time that i got truly frustrated in the parks! ankles can only be hit so many times by strollers! Tongue

Jmed: My list of what I 'DON'T' like would be smaller! Big smile I love pretty much everything in the parks. The great stories, and of course the movies. I actually just finished Big Hero 6 an hour ago and I loved it!

Awesome! I'll be there Nov. 6-13, so maybe we'll overlap! There are already a few other folks who will be in the parks starting November 4.

I know what you mean about the strollers. We did Magic Kingdom on NYE during our honeymoon. I used to say that the reason that we don't have kids is from my husband's PTSD - Post traumatic stroller disorder. If someone had written a novel about that trip, a great opening line would have been, "They stumbled out the front gate of the park, her ears still ringing from the shrill squeal of the noisemakers, his ankles bruised and bloodied courtesy of the parents who had weaponized their strollers." laugh I'd probably do it again, but I don't think that DH would!

Oh and by the way---Welcome!!

I have always wanted to try whispering canyon. I am a huge BBQ fan and it looks spectacular. I would also love to try some of the DTD restaurants, I've had Earl and the other QS but never ate at any of the sit-down restaurants there.
