How Much Do You Swim at Disney World?

So DW loves to hit the pools, but it's not a big priority to me. I have other things I'd rather do while I'm in Disney and you can swim any time. That being said, they are nice pools. Do you guys usually hit the pool every trip, sometimes, or never?

Always! Though we are not ones that can just lounge around the pools for very long. But we usually do a mid-day break every day after lunch, go back to our room, and go to the pool for 30-45 minutes. We may or may not take a short nap, but the pool really refreshes us for the late afternoon and evening activities!

And it will be more fun this time because I bought Joe and I a pair of Mickey flip flops on clearance and they just came yesterday! muchlove Now the big question is when I share the surprise and show him what he shall be required to wear! laugh

I have to admit that we have been frequenting the pools much more lately, and most of the time it is the quiet pools. I must add also that it is always the quiet pool at the resort that I am staying at, to me water is water and usually I am reading next to the pool not in it so I find no need to pool hop.

Always! We usually go up the day before we hit any parks. We spend that late afternoon just hanging out at the pool at the resort. We also come back to the pool when our day at a park is done or hit the hot tub.

When it is hot we swim before the parks and after the parks and before bed for a nice cool down. The quiet pools are the best. Most of the time we are the only folks in it. One time at The Coronado we were the only people who used the quiet pool. It was so secluded and nice. My husband would sit out there and play his guitar. One time a cast member came along and pulled his harp out of a pocket and began to jam with him.

We haven't used the pools at Disney bet that because we usually take a week to get there by staying a few days at the beach before going and then spending our sweet time getting home. So we swim at those hotel. Last year we had went to Myrtle Beach before going to Disney and our hotel had 8 different pools so even the Coronado pool didn't excite our children. They would rather go play at Disney Quest when it gets too hot.

Love to lounge and get refreshed after a day in the parks but HATE the hot pool decks. Of course a frosty beverage takes my mind off of that. So yes, pools are GOOD. Pool bars are better. . .

I never use the pools. I can swim fine and use the pools when we go on other vacations, but when I'm in Orlando I don't want to take time away from the parks to do something I can do anywhere. We never go to Disney World in the summer, though, so the days are cooler and the parks aren't open as late. Gotta get park time in when we can.

We always spend time at the pools! The theming is just so neat, and it's a rarity that we get to stay in the resorts, so the pools are a treat for us!

This is largely how I feel although I can see the appeal of the Disney pools because:

1.) It's nice to relax sometimes (I just usually do it in my room, not the pool)
2.) Some of those pools are pretty darn cool.

I usually swim once or twice. I would swim more but my DH is not a big pool person. We are usually busy doing other things anyway. But if I could I'd be going swimming every day.
