I need to write a pre trip report to make my bad day better!

So I think many of you will agree that this year has not been the best for many of us. It seems like everyone is going thru some stress, maybe family or work or both. I am in that group and today was a very bad day at work. I have never needed a Disney trip this bad ever! So instead of sitting here and crying I am going to write my pre trip report and try to get excited that this trip is coming up fast.

So who is going on this trip, well that would be me and the DH. We will be heading down to Disney from Wisconsin on October 21st and we get to stay at the Boardwalk till the 27th. We have kind of fallen in love with the Boardwalk (although AK lodge is still my number one). We will be a week late but we are celebrating our anniversary (Oct. 15th) and since we were married at the Yacht club we thought we would walk over to the seen of the crime and quietly re say our vows to each other.

So Friday when we arrive we are having dinner at Cape May Cafe (favorite) and then off to HS for Star Wars fireworks and of course Toy Story. I really want to be a kitty this time!

Saturday we are getting up early and going to Be Our Guest for breakfast before the park opens. I am so excited for this. I have always wanted to be in the park when it is almost empty. I have heard mixed reviews about BOG but I am willing to give it a try. Towards afternoon we are heading over to Epcot for lunch at Coral Reef. Another new place for us. Then we are going to take a very nice nap and relax. For evening we are off to Disney Springs for dinner at The Boathouse! A new favorite and so excited to eat there again. Yes we eat a lot on our trips and love deluxe dining.

Sunday is Animal Kingdom day. We are not sure where breakfast will be but I am guessing Captains grill. We have a fast pass for Dinosaur which I have not ridden on yet and I can't wait. Lunch is Yak and Yeti. Probably try to squeeze in a nap maybe and then head back to AK because it is open late and we are still hopeful for Rivers of light???? Oh and dinner will be at Rainforest. Not my favorite but for some reason the husband likes it and once in awhile I have to let him pick.

Monday is Epcot day and food and wine!!! So excited for this. The whole day at Epcot and test track at least once. Can't wait to eat my way around the world. Dinner is going to be at Narcoossee's because it's a must every trip.

Tuesday is back to Magic Kingdom but first a stop at Kona Cafe for tonga toast! I am finally going to stop being a scardy cat and ride on Seven dwarfs mine train. Yes I am or at least I think I am....maybe...always looks scary when I see it....I don't know maybe. Lunch is Tony's which we enjoyed last year and wanted to try again. Dinner will be somewhere at Disney Springs. Not sure where we are winging it! Some shopping and a cool headed monkey at Jock Lindsey's. YUM.

Wednesday is where ever we want to go day. We are trying Trattoria al Forno for breakfast and then we will decided where we want to go from there. That night we are having dinner at Flying Fish to try the new menu. It was a favorite for a long time but we had a very bad visit a couple years ago and we have stayed away. Excited to revisit this place with a new menu.

Thursday it is time to head home. Sad but by then I will miss my four legged kids and want to hug them all.

I am so excited to get to meet up with a lot of you well we are down in Disney. I don't know what I would do without you all on this forum. This is my happy place and it will be wonderful to see you in person. muchlove

2016 sucked toes. I think we all need this trip.

We will also be at the Boardwalk that weekend, so in addition to all the meet-up stuff maybe we will run into you all just out and about.

The last year has been a series of highs and lows for me as well. The twins are doing amazingly well and my youngest granddaughter who was diagnosed with Costello Syndrome is making slow but steady progress since her heart surgery when she was nine months old. It's heard to believe that it has been a year since her little heart was repaired at University of Michigan. Although she is still being fed through a g tube she is growing and her weekly physical therapy is helping her develop to her current potential. Eventually she will be able to eat but it may be a year or two away.

Like Robyn, I also lost a brother. He passed away on September 2, after being diagnosed with brain and lung cancer in May. He died eight days before his 62nd birthday. His daughter and her husband are expecting their first child in February. RIP little brother! sad

Wow, what a year! Jhugo your plan sounds incredible! I'm drooling over all your restaurant choices! And I love the mini, private vow renewal idea. So sweet! Have a fabulous time!
