Hello there! I am new to this forum. DH and I are planning a trip to Disney World the first week of December 2013,to celebrate our fifth anniversary. Our previous (and only) trip was in December 2009 so we are super excited!

Well hello and welcome AmyRene!! What a great time to go! Disney at Christmas time is spectacular. And an anniversary trip to boot - yay!

AmyRene. We just did a Dec anniversary trip and the cast made it so special. Make sure that any reservation you make has your celebration listed for your whole trip to help the cast celebrate with you. Also wear your Anniversary button the whole trip. I am sure you'll love it.
We stayed at POFQ last time. We loved it! We are staying at Pop Century this time. We decided to spend less on the room so we can have more $$$ to spend in the parks..and honestly..we only sleep in the room anyway. Plus, it's DISNEY so even a value resort has the special Disney touch! I adore Epcot, and cant wait to see Illuminations again. My goal is to buy a little something from each country in the showcase.Yay!

Welcome, and btw, early Dec is a great time of the year to visit WDW!!! Have you guys made plans for an anniversary dinner, I am sure that we can come up with a few really nice suggestions. Again welcome, and let us know if we can provide you guys with any advise.

We're doing the same, just a month earlier.

I love Pop Century. It's a fun resort.
We love pop for the same reason. And they did an amazing job helping us celebrate.
Our actual anniversary is in October,but we wanted the Christmas holiday decorations..and my birthday is December too, and DH birthday is January..so it will be triple celebrations!

I've stayed at Pop twice and loved it both times! We also only sleep in the rooms and spend the rest of the time in the parks.

Welcome! Might I give you a suggestion? If you are a fan of IllumiNations, and willing to spend more $ in the parks than on your resort, you should look into doing one of the specialty cruises for Illuminations. My DW and I did it in September when we were there for our honeymoon and we loved it!
