Well everyone DVC just made it official that they are building the often rumored DVC villas at the Grand Floridian Resort.
According to the Email I just received, they are indeed building 147 DVC villas near the Wedding Pavilion with an estimated and projected opening of late 2013.

The real thing I don't like about this is its going to obstruct the sunset now from the Polynesian Resort which is rather beautiful now and thats a shame. Guess thats what they call progress. Villas are going smack dab in the middle of this picture! on the other side of those white buildings.

I am *so* excited about this one! I completely fell in love with the Grand Floridian when I stayed there in March and want to buy here so much! I'm thinking of a 50 point add on. That way we could use it every three years like we do our Grand Californian points.
GF is soooo beautiful! Can't wait to see what the DVC will look like.

I'm *so* excited about this too! I adore the Grand Floridian. However I think it will still be crazy expensive, probably a higher point cost than BLT. It will be time to get creative with my point allocations!
I agree, Kristen...We aren't going to be able to buy there, but we'll also have to get creative with the points!
