My palms are sweating just looking at those pics! Yikes! What type of work are they doing up there?

That's quite the view mrhub! Talk about bird's eye view.

Eeyore, they were removing the Christmas lights on the castle using that crane. It's an elaborate process setting them up and then taking them down again.

Well, it's one way to get away from the crowds below! LOL.

To be honest, I'm a bit surprised that Disney does this work while people are in the park since they typically hide any maintenance work. Especially on the main centerpiece of WDW. Kinda ruins any photos of the castle too. But nothing Photoshop can't take care of! wink

It takes weeks to put them up and weeks to take them down. I'm sure the Imagineers could think of a way to just embed them in the structure and leave them there all year.

Oh, how I would LOVE to be an Imagineer! Smile

Awful hard to hide that big crane that comes in twice a year.
I'm always upset when it's in my pictures, I don't have photo shop so if it's there, it's there.

The photo I posted was one I took during my last visit to WDW.

The other photos look like they're from a Google search.
