Jet Blue Says Arrive Early At MCO

http://www.wesh.com/article/arrive-at-oia-3-hours-before-flights-airline-officials-say/10363679

"JetBlue officials are telling passengers that plan to travel out of Orlando International Airport in the next eight months to arrive at the airport three hours early." This is due to construction on the tram system that is part of a $90 million project to replace trains that service gates 1 through 59.

I don't understand the article. Why only Jet Blue? There are several airlines that use those gates. And we've been there many times where there is just one tram in service. What's different about this situation I wonder?

I was thinking the same thing Ken. I've never been to that airport and was wondering if JetBlue had all the gates in that terminal but I think it said 1-59... They can't all be JetBlue...

Exactly, there are many airlines that use those gates. We typically arrive and depart at gate 13 when we fly WestJet. The last several trips, the one tram has been out of service. So, this "announcement" from Jet Blue makes no sense to me.

When I found this I did more research before posting and this article was all I could find.
OIA still had 2 hours previous listed on their website.

Saw this on Facebook. It lists other airlines.

Cool! Thank you JoAnn!

This story lists Gates 1-29, but I thought the construction project was larger than that. Perhaps it is happening in stages.

These are the terminals that we fly into on WestJet. I know the magical express always gets us to MCO at least 3 hrs before our flight so I think we're good, but thanks for the clarification.

Now the Magical Express is going back to picking up 3 hours early, I wonder if they are adding time for airlines using those gates. I'm flying Jet Blue next month. I always check in for my flight at the resort, so the normal pick up should be ok since I won't have to worry about checking in when I get to the airport. just curious.
