I saw the 2 of you were wearing buttons.....were they the "Just Married" buttons?

And where did you get them?

They have the "Happily Ever After" buttons on which are the new "just married" buttons. That's what we were given when we were there, too, because they don't have the old "just married" ones anymore. You can get them at any guest service counter or at your hotel check-in desk.

We actually did receive "Just Married" buttons... but not until we ate dinner the first night on our cruise. Too bad they don't have those for the parks anymore! They're much nicer IMO.

So sorry for the wait you guys!!! Moving right along...

Feb 7th

This day was completely dedicated to EPCOT! It's one of our favorite parks... Well it's Mark's #1, but my #1 is MK. Anywho, we arrived in the early afternoon and opened up another challenge.. This challenge was from Jess and it was a challenge to see which one of us could drink all of the soda's at club cool the fastest, including the dreaded beverly! So we headed there first. It was hard to snap pictures of us both trying to win this competition, but will just have to take my word for it, that I won Wink. And to my surprise... Mark LOVED the beverly.. what a weirdo. I pretty much gagged on it!

We then walked around and took in all the beautiful flowers that were blooming. I said this before, but this was one of the most gorgeous times I had been to Disney. I think they were getting ready for the garden fest and the flowers were just breath taking.

When we first got to Disney, I really wanted to buy my bride ears, but put it off for a few days... So after being tired of hearing me talk about it for a few days, Mark grabbed my hand, took me into the shop, and said, pick out the ones you want i'm buying them for you but you have to wear them for the rest of the day. I was so happy, I felt like this!

We had gotten fast passes for test track earlier that day, and finally took a ride. I personally thought that the ride was much better than before. They did change the track a little bit. There were a couple of straight away's that were pretty fast inside the building... Not sure why people were so disappointed with it because we loved it!

After doing some of our favorite rides (including Soarin') we headed for the World Showcase. In the past I had always gone to Canada first, so I decided to switch it up this time and start in Mexico. We stopped and grabbed some Margarita's. I got the pineapple margarita, which I didn't care for at all.... And Mark got the jalepeno margarita and it was delicious! I kept taking his away from him, it was so good. The bar tender was also giving away samples of the avocado margarita... and wow, just wow. Order that when you go to Cava Tequila because it's amazing.

I did have a very positive experience at Cava de Tequila... The bartenders there are great and topped off my drink a few times with no extra charge. I highly recommend it! I would have liked to sit and eat some chips and salsa but there was no room while we were there both times.

After enjoying our Margarita's we headed to Norway for an afternoon snack.... School Bread! It was so good!!

We walked around the World showcase for a little while and posed for a few pictures..

We stopped along the way to watch some hilarious shows! One of them including these two....

As we were waiting in line to get our grey goose slush, which by the way was very yummy, some really awesome person handed us two fast passes for Soarin'! So off we went, back to Soarin' for another ride!

Then we headed for Spaceship Earth. One of Mark's favorite rides.

I haven't imported all the pictures off of my phone yet so some parts of the day are missing, but we went to meet Mickey and Minnie again after Spaceship Earth. I had promised my sister that I would take a video of Mark and I with the two of them and send it to her so that she could show my niece... She told me that my niece started screaming at the phone (she's almost 2 and loves Mickey and Minnie).. Auntie! Uncle Mark! She told me that she watched the video about 100 times. I thought it was really cute!

We headed back to England for dinner, but not before snapping a few shots of this wonderful landmark!

We grabbed some fish and chips from Yorkshire Fish Shop and grabbed a bench to eat our meal on..

(I know, excessive amount of condiments!)

We didn't wind up staying for Illuminations... I've seen it a ton of times, and we were both really tired... So we went back to WL, and upon returning to my room... I saw the reason why Mark wasn't so eager to get my ears for me!

He's such a sweet hubby!

What we learned this day:

*Avocado Margarita's are delicious!
*The new test track is not as disappointing as people have made it seem.
*When you wear "wedding ears"... You get a lot of attention, and not just from CM's.

Random Picture Time!!

Nice report Karli. We think they did a pretty good job with test tract also, no disappointed at all with it. We always congratulate newlyweds with that hats on or anyone with a celebration pin on, and I think most people do, espescially the veteran Disney goers.

I thought it was so sweet that people in the parks were congratulating us! It was also fun to have conversations with other couples that were there that had just gotten married.

I miss Disney so much already...

OK! I am back in action and it feels great!!!

Feb 8th

This day we decided to take our time. We had an afternoon reservation at Biergarten and made our way there very slowly.

Biergarten was great! We both LOVED it. There were so many different foods to try and everything was great, especially the meatballs.

Needless to say... we were in some serious pain when we left there! We definitely OVER indulged. So we took our time walking around the rest of the World Showcase and then decided to go to the Boardwalk to check out the resort.

I stopped and grabbed a very delicious Margarita from the Margarita stand on the Boardwalk!

The reason that we were at the Boardwalk that evening was because I was planning on taking Mark to Jellyrolls. It was one of his musical surprises... And keeping it a secret was so hard! He kept asking... "are we gonna go to Jellyrolls? We've never been there, it sounds fun"... And I had to keep responding with... "no... I heard it's not that good... I think we should do something else.." So that night we walked over and sat in front of Jellyrolls, and we were waiting for it to open and Mark goes..."Aright, let's go do something..." So I had to tell him that we were sitting there because I was about to surprise him with something... I had him convinced that we were going on a boat ride and that someone was coming to meet us at the bench we were sitting on... lol.... When the doors opened for Jellyrolls I told him that I saw the person we were supposed to meet... And instead of walking past Jellyrolls we walked right in and I was finally able to tell him that this was his real surprise and I hope he was excited about it! He was really happy!

What we learned this day:
*Probably best to save buffets for dinner... Or else you will be hurting for the rest of the day!
*The boardwalk is beautiful, I have stayed there before but it never ceases to impress me.
*Jellyrolls is fun, but make sure you tip big if you want them to play your request!

Feb 9th

So this day our trip took a turn for the worse... I woke up EXTREMELY sick.. I guess what I had been feeling a few days earlier was the oncoming of serious cold/flu. I was practically immovable from my oh so comfortable Wilderness Lodge bed. My husband was so sad for me, but I was determined to get up and make what I could of the day.... I was incapable of snapping a lot of pictures, but I will share with you what I was able to capture. We had gotten off to a rough start that morning... We had originally planned to go to Magic Kingdom and then to Animal Kingdom and then to Jiko... But because we hadn't gotten out of our room before 11am, we decided to just go to Magic Kingdom, then back to our room to recoop and then out to our ADR at Jiko.

At Magic Kingdom, we decided to take our time and try a few attractions that we had never done before. One of them being Hall of Presidents. We really enjoyed it and it was just mellow enough to not upset my terrible sickness....

Although I was sick, I was determined to have something really friggin' delicious for lunch and wandered over to Sleepy Hollow's for one of these bad boys.

While Mark got one of THESE bad boys..

OMG the sweet and spicy chicken waffle was SOOO amazingly delicious.. I just saw that thread about what you would want to eat next time you go to Disney... I want one of those..NOW. So good. Next time I'll try something different.

We then headed to the Tiki Room for the first time... It was cute, probably wouldn't do it every time I go... But glad I went in once.

After this we headed to Micky's Philharmagic. Good thing they have so many mellow things to do! I was hurting pretty bad and it felt so good to sit in nice COOL theaters.

And even though I was so sick, how could you not smile while in Magic Kingdom!

After our nice mellow attractions, we decided to stop and smell the roses...

Even though smell was not in the cards for me!

After some aimless roaming around... Because I am usually the Disney guide while we're in the parks... And my system was down.. We went back to the resort to get ready for our dinner at Jiko. We drove to Animal Kingdom Lodge because I couldn't handle any more public transportation. I was really taken back by the AKL lobby. It was just as breath taking as WL. Very themed and beautiful. I wished that we had, had more time to roam around and explore the property. We headed to the lounge were I tried the extremely delicious Victoria Fall's Mist which I highly recommend!!! Then headed down to Jiko for our ADR.

They sat us in the wine room, which was private but somewhat disappointing because I didn't really get the whole Jiko vibe in there. We started off with some bread and incredible butter..

For starters we ordered a flat bread and array of dips with flat bread chips.. All of which were yum yum.

I ordered the Duck because I wanted to try something new, and Mark ordered the lamb.

They both were presented beautifully... But unfortunately... My duck was WAY under cooked and extremely chewy... I'm not a picky eater and never one to send my plate back... But I couldn't even eat my meal... Mark's dish on the other hand was so tender and melt in your mouth delicious!

Raw duck:

After we finished dinner we went outside and explored the resort for as long as I could bear. We saw the pink flamingo's and the pool, and Mark picked me up some zebra domes that I couldn't eat that night due to extreme exhaustion...

We went back to Wilderness Lodge, I took Nyquil and passed out!

What we learned this day:
*Sleepy Hollow's has amazing food
*Magic Kingdom is "sick people" friendly... Lot's of cool places to relax and take your time Smile
*I probably don't like duck.

Coming up.... Lunch at Le Cellier and Dinner at Be Our Guest!

So sorry you got sick in the middle of your Disney honeymoon! And sorry the duck wasn't to your liking. Lately it seems the better restaurants like to do duck rare. But I grew up eating duck fully cooked and can't really get into it rare, either.

Loving the trip report, hope you felt better the next day.

I've never thought about all of the places that are airconditioned and seated in the MK, but you're right--if I had to get sick in a park, it would be a good choice. My sister got sick in Epcot (in the World Showcase!) and it was MISERABLE because there was so little AC!

But I'm glad you enjoyed your day regardless; can't wait to hear about your next day! clapping

Feb 10th

We didn't have much planned for this morning which was good because I was STILL terribly sick... The night of the 9th my husband was doing everything in his power to get me comfortable... I was shaking and shivering from who knows what.. I had the chills so bad that I had to jump in the hot shower to warm myself up...( don't worry, no fever )... Then I decided the best thing to do was to drug myself. I popped 2 nyquil and passed out faster than you would believe... Hence why it was good to have nothing planned for that morning... Nyquil makes me so grogy the next day... So i slept in until about 10am.. And it felt so good. It definitely made me feel better.

We had lunch reservations at Le Cellier and we almost didn't make it! Our ADR was for 12:45 and I think we got there at like 12:50. Whew, it was hard to push through the sick and book it to our ADR.

We decided that we would order what everyone recommended. The cheese soup, poutine fries, lobster mac, and filet mignon. We wanted to try a bit of everything Wink.

The cheese soup was good, but it was a bit salty for my liking... However, those pretzel breads dipped into the soup are heavenly and a meal in themselves.

The Lobster Mac was pretty good, but very heavy and I wasn't feel too well so I didn't eat much of it...

I didn't care much for the poutine fries... but like I said... I was a little off and I think my taste buds were too because people rave about them..

The filet was nice and tender but wasn't very flavorful... But perhaps that was because my taste buds weren't working correctly?

And finally, my favorite part of the lunch...

SO beautiful.

After lunch we headed for the China Pavilion to see if they were doing anything for the Chinese New Year... And this was what was happening...

Then we walked around a bit and enjoyed what there was to see in China

We stopped at the Joy of Tea for a Green Tea slush that was SO good. I will definitely be getting one of these every time we go to WDW. We actually had a few people stop us and ask what they were and where we got them. They're so good they LOOK refreshing.

After EPCOT we went back to the resort to chill out for a bit.. I was still sick and needed time to relax before heading to MK for our BOG ADR. It was EMH until 12am at MK so we were planning onbeing out for a while that night.

We took the boat from WL to MK. This was my favorite mode of transportation offered at WL. It was so relaxing and there was always a boat there ready to take us to the magic.

Our ADR was for 8:45pm, so we decided to slowly walk around the park and do some of the rides we hadn't been able to do while people were lining up on main street to watch wishes. We went on the carousel first...

Then went to Dumbo! So romantic at night!

Then we headed for Barnstormer which Mark thought was the best roller coaster ever.

And by the time we were done with all of that, it was time to head to our ADR! We were so excited. We were immediately escorted to the castle and given a chance to take in the sights. Our hostess lead us to our table in the west wing. I was kind of sad to not be sitting in the ballroom but the west wing had a sort of private and romantic feel to it. And it was much easier to see "Master" when he came in to bow to his guests.

We both started with one of the most delicious and fresh salads I had our entire trip:

We then had our entrees. I ordered the salmon... which I will be ordering every time. The potatoes were unbelievable!!! The salmon was perfectly cooked. My dish was outstanding. I loved it.

Mark had the seafood in the puff pastry. He enjoyed his very much as well... and though it was very good, i didn't think it was as good as the salmon.

After our meals... Our incredible server ( the service was just as amazing as the food ) brought us over a special treat! Yup, you guessed it! We got....

And we each ordered a desert. I had the lemon cream puff which was stuffed so greatly with cream. It was SOOOOOO good. And Mark got the double chocolate cupcake.

At the end of our meal, the Master came in to pay us a visit

Overall, the food, and the service were incredible. We both loved this place. It was in our top 5 places to eat with Sleepy Hollow and Sunshine Seasons. Great food.

Here are some pics of the entire place Smile

After snapping many, many pictures... We decided to walk around a bit more before returning to the resort. I was feeling a bit better which was nice, and I was in high spirits!

We decided to do Haunted Mansion

And a few others before we went back to the resort.

When we did finally get back to our room, I saw that there was a bit of Wilderness on our door...

What we learned today...
*There is a lot to see at the China pavilion... It's always one that I kind of just look in the store and leave... but I found that taking my time there was time well spent.
*The boat from WL to MK is the best ever.
*Be Our Guest is fantastic!

Random picture time:

Next up... Animal Kingdom... Gorilla's, Meerkat's and more!... And Toy Story mania!

Loving this trip report! It's giving me loads of great ideas for our Disneymoon in September. So jealous you guys got to eat at BOG. Was desperate to get us a table there but we booked our honeymoon well after the 180 day window and couldn't get a reservation. I'm going to try and drop in for lunch though! x

That was a tree frog, I think? He was hanging out on our balcony every night... Which reminds me... It would be AWESOME if WL would put a porch light on every balcony... It was so dark out there that I was afraid to sit out there at night.

Feb 11th

This was our third to last day in WDW Sad. So we decided to go back to Animal Kingdom in the morning and check out the animals that we had missed the first day because I was not feeling well. By this time my flu symptoms had subsided and had turned into a cold with a nasty cough! At least I wasn't feeling so run down anymore Smile.

And boy, did we see some animals!!

And finally... MMMMHMMMM....

We wandered around the park for bit as this would be our last time at this park. Mark's favorite ride there is DINOSAUR so we rode that again... I went on Everest alone because my husband does not "do" rollercoasters. We picked up an eggroll from one of the kiosks that was so so so yummy!! Can't wait to get one of those bad boys again.

When we had finally felt as if we had, had enough we took the shuttle to Hollywood Studios. When we got there, the park was PACKED. We were there for EMH's because we wanted to ride Toy Story Mania. This would also be our last time in this park. We decided to hang out at Tune in Lounge, but couldn't sit at the bar because it was filled to capacity so we took our drinks... Well mine was a cup of water with ice (FREE) and Mark had a beer... Out to the tables by the water. We sat there for quite some time and watched the ducks chase each other around. It was very relaxing. Mark was dying to go to Indiana Jones so after our drink we went straight into the theater and grabbed ourselves a good seat close to the action. I begged Mark to raise his hand to participate but he was a bit shy. He did love the show though. Then we went to the "new" star tours which I thought was really cool. Much better than the old one. And I thought it was really cool that you could have a different experience every time.

Sorry don't have a lot of pictures of this day... But after the rides, we headed to Fairfax Fair where I had the pulled pork dog and Mark had the Chili Dog. The pulled pork dog is SOOO good and HUGE. Definitely worth the money! They really pile it on!

Finally after dinner we decided to brave the TSM line. It was "70" minutes long... But it really only took us about 20 minutes to get on the ride... And it was totally worth the wait! We had a blast!

We called it a night somewhat early because I still wasn't feeling so great and we wanted to spend our last 2 days in WDW to their fullest potential.... PLUS we had a cruise coming up that I just didn't want to be sick for. It was our first cruise EVER!

What we learned this day:
*Definitely eat the egg rolls at AK, they are yummy
*Sometimes it's fun to just sit and watch the ducks
*TSM - Worth the wait.

Random Picture Time!

STAY TUNED FOR THE END OF OUR REPORT! WE HAVE A SURPRISE!
