Kingdom Keepers books

I know several of us started reading these books around the same time but hadn't heard anyone mention them lately. I'm on the third book and am loving this series....although I'm sure I'll look at alot of stuff differently when I'm at Disney in November

The books are kind of expensive so I haven't read them. I've heard a lot about them I heard that the concept is greatm but the story could be so much better and more accurate, but that's just what I'vde heard

Jess, I like them so much, I've been blowing through them. I'm 1/2 way through Book 4 right now. In fact, I finished the last half of Book 2 and all of Book 3 over the weekend. I got a nasty summer cold, so I sat myself on the couch under a blanket and read the whole weekend. I'm really digging the books. I love all of the ride and park references. I'll never look at some of those rides the same way again. Nor will I look at the Crash Test Dummies at Test Track the same way. wink

Hardy, does your library carry them? I know our city just got some copies in the YA section. That way if you want you can take a look at them without spending the cash. I plan to take a look when I'm there this week.

I'm afraid I'll get flamed but I'm having a hard time getting through the first one...I hate the author's writing style and it's driving me nuts to read it! I want to keep reading because I love reading about park stuff!

I haven't started reading them but they are on my list. The copies of the first book have been checked out at the library. When I was there last week, I put a copy on hold when it comes in.

I've found it was really hard to get into the book I borrowed from a classmate so I will probably borrow them from the library and try again.

Has anyone read Alpha? It's a novel that came out a few months ago and is written by one of my favorite comic book writers. I only got half way through before I had to return it and it's been out ever since, but I really liked it! It's about a special forces op undercover at a theme-park and is described as "Die Hard in Disneyland."

I just checked their online catalog and they have them! I'm going to have my mom put a hold on it so I'm sure to get it soon! It's also in our YA section.

I also checked for mousejunkies, but it wasn't there. What other Disney book do you recommend? Anyone ever read a Walt biography? Which ones are good? I have an imagineer book in the mail that I've been wanting for a while that I finally gave in and spent the $15 on.

who's the author of this?

Greg Rucka. He's done about a dozen novels, but this is the first of them I've read.

Sorry to mislead you...there will be 7 books total. I also enjoyed the Peter and the Star Catchers series.

I just bought the first Kingdom Keepers book yesterday--when I went to Barnes and Nobles for my Unofficial Guide 2013. Mostly, it was the cover art that made me decide that NOW was the time to get it.

the weird thing is, I remember starting this book before & getting exasperated with the author's style. I must be mellowing, because it's not nearly as hard to read as I found it before. (unfinishable the last time I tried)

Nice on Kingdom Keepers. I need to get mine reserved at my library but I'm finishing my Imagineering Field Guide to MK first.

I received a notice from my library that a copy is on hold for me. I'll be picking it up this week.
