Kingdom Keepers TV Series

I'm not a fan AT ALL of the original TV content that the Disney Channel has been putting out the last few years for ages 7-15. Their 6 & under shows are amazing, but the rest of the shows all seem to be too adult for their demographic. -SO- during a family discussion on this matter this weekend I thought of Kindom Keepers and how big of a hit they are. WHAT IF Disney was to take these books and turn them into a TV series? It worked with the Goosebumps books to make those a show, and I have no doubts that Kindom Keepers would be a hit as well! Thoughts on this, and Disney Channel content in general???

Ive been happy with the current Disney Channel content to be honest. The only show I really dont like is the My babysitter is a vampire. Love P&F, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up has grown on me.

As for Kingdom Keepers. If the Babysitter show is a hit... I dont see why Kingdom Keepers cant be? The only thing is... it would probably have to be animated. I cant see them letting them film on site. And to recreate a lot of the park on a sound stage would be crazy. So I would say it would have to be animated. Cut down on costs and such... but I dont think it can work as an animated series. I would say a movie would be more logical. But thats just me... lol

Yeah I like a lot of the shows as well. How ever I will always opt for a movie over the DC. That's just my preference I guess.

Haven't read kingdom keepers but I've heard some good things about the actual story, so I think it would be a hit on TV. So many people can relate because so many have been to WDW. I think, as said above, a movie series would make more sense, and a animation show would be sort of cheesy IMO. But I think it could work in some way on the big screen.

Okay, so here's an idea. Have you ever seen SyFy's show 'Sanctuary'? The actors are real, but the set is all created digitally, and it's brilliant. You really can't tell. Maybe Disney could do something like that with it. I do like the idea of Kingdom Keepers as a series, I don't think that the parks get used enough in media, they used to do so much more.

I do know that Disney is working on a Kingdom Keepers type movie. However it's not actually Kingdom Keepers. I remember hearing an interview with the author where he was talking about it and how they didn't want to do the books in that way.

As far as Disney Channel programing in general, I'm still bitter that they don't run vault Disney during the midnight hours anymore. I love Phineas & Ferb but the other shows haven't captured my attention. Though Katie does watch them and she's who they're geared towards. I hate hate hate anything vaguely Sponge Bob like with gross humor, pranks and poor manners, so Fishhooks does not get watched at all and the new one (Mase's icon is from) also did not go over well in our house.

Heh... Gravity Falls? I like shows that are kinda X-Filesish... and Gravity Falls nails it for me... lol. I couldnt stop laughing when Mabel I think kicked the Nome and he started puking a rainbow... LOL... weird humor I guess... heh

And yeah... a hybrid of live action and digital could work. Just a matter of it being cost effective for Disney.

What about the Suite Life of Zach and Cody? That was also a really pranky, gross humored show, if you want to call it that.

I think I tolerated Zach and Cody, but it wasn't one of those things that I sat down and watched on purpose. When they moved to the cruise ship it totally lost me.

Zach and Cody is one of the many shows now where Disney has adults come off as idiots, and kids can do whatever they want with no penalties. Raven became the worst thing to happen to Disney Channel in a long time. I love Gravity Falls too by the way. I should have been more specific when I said I didnt like the newer shows, I meant the live action shows. The animated shows are still where I think they should be. I also agree that the Disney Vault needs to come back!
