"Last" Resort

Ha ha. Play on words.

1. What're your least favorite deluxe, moderate, and value resorts?

2. And what's the last resort you think you'd want to stay in?

It really only works as a matter of price. For example, I suspect I would never choose the Grand Floridian given the price, but none of them are "bad" options. I think Yacht Club is probably the least appealing to me for a deluxe just because it always seems kind of bland, but I'd be happy to stay there.

Yep--I think I'd be happy as long as I was in Disney World! I might not immediately choose all-star sports as my value resort, though, or SSR as my deluxe. I think I'd definitely enjoy the other value resorts more than Sports (giant Baloo icons are going to make me smile more than giant football helmets), and SSR might be a bit low on themeing for my likes.

Yeah the Downtown Disney resorts are also not really my cup of tea. They're sprawling and far from the action. I don't spend a ton of time at DTD though, so it might appeal to other people.

All Star Sports is about as far from what I enjoy as you can get.

I think I don't want to be wherever there are massive groups of high school and junior high kids! Smile

SSR isn't my favorite place, but the proximity to DTD is nice. I've also always thought I'd rather stay in Sports or Movies before I stay in All Star Music. I think I just like the themeing better at the other two.

Since I've only been there once, I don't feel qualified to say what my least favorite is.

But the last one I'd ever want to stay at is All Star Sports.

Not much of a sports fan, eh?

Hi,

I'm not that big of a movie fan (I have several unwatched DVDs at home) so All Star Movies is probably my least favorite value resort.

I suppose someone from the American Southwest or Mexico might agree with me when I say that my least favorite moderate resort is Coronado Springs. While I think that, as a New Jersey resident, I would enjoy the themeing, and that someone from the Southwest would probably feel too close to home, I just think it's too large and sprawling.

Because it's too dark to get around at night, I think the Polynesian is my least favorite deluxe resort. Maybe if I actually stayed there, I'd revise my opinion.

I think this is a problem with AKL and WL as well. Neither have adequate lighting, and the decor is very dark so you don't get the slightest bit of reflection.
