We are finally finished the decorating. So come on in and see the rest of our home.
I added just one final touch to the dining room.

Next we will walk into the kitchen but I forgot to take a whole room shot of it.

Moving along into the living room.

And finally back down to Mrhubs man cave where he has the Mickey tree. I try to stay out of there but I could not resist decorating the one corner of the room.

Scrappy, I love everything about your decorations. The St. Nick portrait is really beautiful, and I love the Dickens characters that you snuck into the den!

Here are just a few pics of our decorations. I've given up getting a ton of pics. Smile One is of our tree, and then I've also included our stockings. My favorite is of the advent wreath I made this year. I love celebrating advent, but our church doesn't really observe the tradition (the one I grew up in did.) So, we're making our own traditions, so the children can remember why we observe the season.

Lizzy - that is a GREAT tree! I have a love/hate relationship with people that can do that with ribbon and make it look great. I suck at it. You got it down pat!

Beautiful clapping clapping

Jeff...I didn't post the 1/2 dozen pictures of her walking towards me with the camera. It takes about 15 shots to get one where she is sitting pretty. LOL!

OK, here are some of my Christmas decorations. We have 3 trees this year, 2 full sized, one small. As with previous years, we have one non-disney tree, one completely disney tree, and a new, smaller one that has only Disney globe ornaments.

First, the non-Disney tree that is in the living room.

There are several Disney-themed holiday decorations in the living room. This is on a side table.

And these are on the console table behind the sofa.

Up in the bedroom level, I have this displayed on a cabinet.

And now, comes the Family room where the majority of the Disney decorations are. First and foremost, there's the main Disney tree. It is populated 100% with Disney ornaments, and the poor tree is now sagging from the weight of the numerous ornaments.

As you might be able to tell, this is also where I have my "wall of pins". The following are a few close-ups of the various ornaments that I have on the tree.

There's something interesting about the tree. I typically host 2 holiday parties for my friends each year. We normally get large crowds (typically between 12-25 people). One game that we play is that in the Disney tree, we hide two small Tweety ornaments. So I tell everyone that in the Disney tree, there are two "hidden Tweetys". The first person to find a hidden Tweety on the tree wins a prize!.

I think you can guess the commotion after that, because everyone will try to crowd around the tree, and at some point, people are crawling on the floor, contorting themselves in different positions, trying to find these hidden Tweetys! It is a lot of fun, and we do this every year! Smile

... cont.

The other tree sits on a console cabinet behind the sofa in the Family room as well. It has only Disney globe ornaments. It is flanked on both side by Donald holiday figurines, and a giant Mickey on the floor on one side.

A couple of holiday wall hangings in the Family room.

That stocking is pretty huge, as you can guess from just looking at it.

Finally, I have these on top of my TV.

Phew!

My friends invited me to see some Christmas lights at a park in Hartford last night. Their 3 year old is a big Lightning McQueen fan so we were very excited to see this display.

Zz, you are my inspiration! Amazing collection and I just love it all! Kudos clapping clapping clapping clapping

I love that Tweety game with the tree ornaments - sounds like a ton of fun. And I can only imagine the commotion around the tree trying to find them. Ha!

Thanks for sharing. Very incredible.

BTW, did anyone saw the unintentional Hidden Mickey in that first, non-Disney tree? Smile

I love them ALL! I am actually surprised how many people have more than one tree in their homes..what a totally excellent idea! I mean..Holden has a little tree in his room but I think the office totally needs a tree next year...hmm...

Jeff..I am jealous of the mad ribbon skillz as well..I tried it one year and failed miserably.

That's the Mickey ears that they handed out as you walk through the turnstile at Disneyland on July 17, 2005 for the 50th Anniversary.

This time Joe has no one to blame but himself. He got me a few of the Department 56 Disney village shops for Christmas!

I think I need to build a village scene now to properly display them!

In an unrelated note, had surgery #4 on Wednesday to try and fix the knee again. Hoping this takes care of things so we can go to Disney in April. I've been a barrel of fun stranded on the couch this Christmas. Tired
