luggage dilemma

Gooooood morning! We normally arrive at Disney mid-afternoon mickey ; however, our flight is now landing at 8:30 p.m. waiting , so I am wondering if we should just grab our luggage instead of having DME grab and deliver it. I really would hate to have it delivered in the middle of the night, just in case I am sleeping (because I am sure I will still be awake and wound up to be at POR). Any thoughts??

At that time, I would probably just get it myself. Otherwise, I would wonder when they were coming if I was trying to just relax in the room. They say it can take up to 3 hours. I have never actually been in the room when they delivered it though.

Did the airline change your time? We had great luck a couple of weeks ago getting an earlier flight because a change the airline made in the schedule.

Yes they did change the time...grrrrr. Originally we were supposed to land at 7. Even at 7 pm I would have just let DME take care of the luggage. Oh, well, I will still be at Disney and that is all that really matters! Thanks Nikki!

We're thinking about potentially heading down a night early so that we can have a full, traveless day the next day. We'd be arriving around 8:30pm or 9pm if we go that route and I am definitely planning on us grabbing our bags so that they don't interrupt our beauty sleep!

In February we arrived at the airport just after 9 pm. We had DME take care of our luggage. around midnight I noticed we had a message on our room phone. They said our luggage had arrived and to call bell services when we want it delivered. So no late night knocks on the door or phone calls mickey

Oooo that's really good to know! Maybe we'll still go this route then and just pack everything we need for that night in our carry on's!

That was our experience too - honestly I would have rather them knock on the door. I never notice that phone blinking. We called down the next morning and they brought it straight away, but it wasn't an experience I want to repeat. I unpack the first night and not having our bags just threw off my groove.

We ended up just letting ME deal with our luggage. When we woke up (later than we planned on) we had a message on our phone to call when we were ready for our luggage to be delivered. Worked perfectly!
