Lunch with an Imagineer?

Hi! Does anyone know if Disney still offers this? I remember reading about it quite some time ago, couldn't find anything recently. crossfingers

TIA!

Looks like they have lunch with an Imagineer, but have discontinued dinner with an imagineer.

Here's info from Mousesavers:
If you are interested in how Disney Imagineers create their magic, you may want to consider one of the special "Dine With an Imagineer" opportunities at Walt Disney World. There aren't any discounts available, but how often do you get to experience something like this? Also, you receive an exclusive plate for each member in the party, which is truly a unique souvenir.

The meals are limited to 8 guests plus an Imagineer (you may be seated with other parties if you have less than 8 people) and last a minimum of 90 minutes. While children are allowed to attend, Disney recommends this experience for guests 14 and older. Guests order from a special limited menu.

Lunch With an Imagineer - offered at 11:30 am most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in the private Bamboo Room at the Brown Derby in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Adult (10 and up) price is $60.99 plus tax and gratuity. Child (ages 3-9) price is $34.99 plus tax and gratuity.

There's also the AllEarsNet info, but it doesn't look like there are updated reviews.

Imagineer (no relation) mentions it in the Obscure Disney Activities thread. He has some links on there and everything seems to suggest it still exists.

Be sure to let us know how it goes. I'm really interested in that idea. It sounds like a ton of fun and I'm sad to hear it's only lunch now. That makes me scared they might cancel it. Have you done any of the backstage tours and stuff like that?

We did a behind-the-scenes tour at AK. LOVED it! You get to see where the animals go at night (never occurred to me that they bring them in! Duh eek ), where they prepare the food for the animals, etc. Lots of educational info and very good guides.

I have read good things about the one in MK, but I am afraid that it will reduce the magic! For our Aug trip, we are considering Aqua Seas in Epcot, where you get to snorkel in the tank! And it looks like we'd better try this Lunch with an Imagineer in case they do away with it soon. I will post about both after the trip!
