Magic Kingdom parking on a Special event night***Updated after Visit***

Does anyone know for certain if you are allowed to park in MK parking lot on a special event night(MNSSHP or MVMCP) without a ticket to the event? DH and I are going to WDW today for the weekend and he just called to tell me he'll be done with work early. So we decided we want to go to the TTC to watch Hallowishes. We've never seen Hallowishes and by all accounts that I've read it's awesome! We've never been to either MNSSHP or MVMCP so we have no experience with parking at MK on these nights. We could go to a resort or Epcot and take the monorail but parking at MK would be so much easier. Any info or personal experience stories would be greatly appreciated!!!

I assume you have annual passes and can park for free?

I've never tried to park at the TTC during a hard-ticket event, but I've also never seen the parking attendants check to make sure people who are trying to park actually have park tickets. I think they weed out the ticketless at the park gates, not at the parking lot toll booths.

Thanks for the insight CCP! We do have AP with free parking and I also assume that they will only look at tickets at MK and we should be able to park. But I have made assumptions at WDW before, and I was wrong so we missed out on the experience. My OCD(the real kind, not "Disney OCD") loves to have definitive answers laugh

No one asked us last weekend if we had tickets - just scanned our MB as usual to get past the booths. Besides, you could always tell them you are hopping the monorail to Epcot.

Thanks Scott-I love having firsthand accounts! Telling them we are going to Epcot is a good idea. In fact if we get there early enough we've decided we are going to go to Epcot, eat dinner and take the monorail from Epcot to TTC.

There's no reason for them to stop you from parking at TTC, since that is where they prefer people to park if they need to go to one of the MK Resorts. So you can definitely park there during the special events, especially if you have AP and can park for free.

We went to MK Friday night to watch Hallowishes. It turned out that I didn't have to worry about parking at all. There were no attendants in the booth. I had forgotten about the fact that since the park is closed at 7pm, anyone entering the parking lot wouldn't have to pay to park, therefore no attendants would be needed.

So we parked our car very close to the TTC so we just walked there. The man working at the boat dock saw us and told us to come all the way down and enjoy the fireworks. My DH and I were the only people down by the dock(other than the one worker) and the fireworks were spectacular! We have watched Wishes several times from TTC and it's my favorite place to watch them and Hallowishes was just amazing. We absolutely loved them. Having the dock to ourselves was just a really nice bonus. It was a great start to a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for the follow-up. Next time we're at WDW during the Halloween or Christmas parties, I'll have to try this.

We did watch regular Wishes from the boat dock once, but since the park was open to regular guests that evening, people getting on and off the boats got in the way.

One boat did arrive about 1/2 way through the fireworks but there were only about 20 people on it so it wasn't bad at all!!! Even though I love to watch Wishes at the TTC, the experience we had on a hard ticket party night was MUCH better!

We parked at TTC for MVMCP last year and we were definitely not asked to show tickets.
