The Mid-Afternoon Disney Nap

As I was reading ZapperZ trip report, I started thinking. Many of my fondest memories from WDW are from the mid-day map. You're worn out from the morning, but it feels nice to be relaxing, and you know you have a fun evening ahead of you too. That's the best.

I have to fondly agree, whether I take a nap or a quick dip in the pool . . . I feel like it is the best way to relax and keep happy

The midday swim is indeed an acceptable substitute. Although, I have to admit any mid-day swimming would likely be followed by a nap anyway...

I don't know if the votes count for anything, but I'm with you on THIS one!

That's my favorite "ride." I don't know how people go "commando" all day long. I'd be dead on my feet. The trip is so much more worth the money when I'm rested and relaxed.

Yeah plus the mid-day is the worst weather and crowds. All big selling points for the nap.

The title of this thread sounds like a good blog to me.

Ya'll are starting to convince me that the mid-day nap is a good idea. We've always done the "Commando" thing...but hey we're getting a little older, and the heat in July is brutal mid-day...I may be convinced that a swim followed by a nap is a good way to recharge the engines for a full evening of fun!!!

Just figure you have X amount of energy to spend over the course of the day. Why not save it for times when it's not deathly hot outside! biggrin

Now--if you have the energy and the gumption to keep going all day, by all means, go for it! We're just a bunch of lazy bones and can't do it anymore! laugh
