New Food Items in Disney World

Courtesy of the Disney food blog, here are some new items in the parks. Obviously, there are some Frozen related food like cupcakes and confectionery. But there are also some good ones not tied in with Frozen.

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2014/07/15/whats-new-around-disney-world-july-16th-2014/

Some highlights:

New Fish Tacos at Sunshine Seasons. (The type of fish isn't specified.)

Macron Sandwich in the French flag colors (C'est magnifique!)

And Cronut a la mode

Thoughts on the new items? For me, those fish tacos look pretty savory to me.

Fish tacos are one of my absolute favorite foods. May have to add Sunshine Seasons to the lineup for this next trip...

I feel like in Disney calories don't count right? crossfingers Plus even if they did (which they don't) all that walking would combat anything you eat...

on the subject of weight I actually did a weigh in before I left and after I came back and after 2 weeks of eating/drinking anything in sight I came back expecting to be stones heavier than when I left to be surprised by only gaining 4 pounds!!!!!!! therefore it is my belief that Disney does not put weight on you!!!!!! I gained those 4 pounds at the airport!!!!! haha

HA HA HA HA We actually did pretty well the last 2 trips. Granted one was in July and walking less than a foot in the Florida heat and humidity melts off about 3 pounds... well you know.

We are a go go go all day type. No rest until it's time to head back to the room late at night. We figured we walked about 8-11 hours a day last time. (we deducted time for monorail/transportation, rides, eating, standing in lines etc.)

We also took snacks those last 2 trips and weren't eating near as much as we will this time so crossfingers

I have lost 5 lbs each of the last 3 trips, usually gain it back once home.

DH and I have had the cronut a few times, both a la mode and plain. We both thought is was WAY better plain, and I LOVE ice cream! The cronut is so hot and soft when you get them fresh that the ice cream both melts immediately and makes the cronut taste almost stale because it hardens up very quickly. We only had the a la mode once, but we've had the plain cronut 4~5 times. The plain cronut is awesome! I wouldn't ever choose the a la mode again, it ruined it IMO.
