New TSM Game

Apparently when Toy Story 3 comes out they'll be adding a new game to Toy Story Mania:

I wonder if they'll add these to the Wii game and re-release it.

Any opportunity to see if they can get us to pay for stuff twice, right? Do you own the Wii game Tony?

laugh What's the Wii game like?!? Would you recommend? Any way you can describe what you do? Do you need two controllers? (Can you tell I'm excited?!?)

The Wii game is great for kids, but anyone older than 7 or 8 will probably get bored with it quite quickly. You simply point the remote at the screen and shoot the targets, I assume the same as the ride. There are some nice reveals when shooting some of the targets.

Does it parallel the real game closely enough that it helps you learn the tricks to get extra points? (Like shooting the clouds at the same time to get all the 2000 point balloons?)

We didn't get to ride the ride on our last visit (monster queues) so I can't say for certain, but I'm lead to believe it's as close as they can get.

I bet I'd still find it fun for a while -- especially if it looks like the ride! Thanks for the review, Tony.

Given the lines for that ride it probably makes a lot of sense to practice at home. Plus my arm gets tired if we ride twice in a row.
