Newbie named Mickey2

Hi all, I've been reading this forum (and others) for weeks and decided it was time to join. We will be at WDW next week for 11 nights and made ADRs just this week. Although the trip was planned, we didn't make dining reservations until now. We're pretty happy with our restaurants and still working on the counter service choices. We're staying at Fort Wilderness, have a 10 day park hopper pass and have the dining plan. It's just DH and I and we expect it to be a fun, relaxing experience. No high speed roller coasters for me anymore! We grew up very near Disneyland so many trips there years ago, but it's been 25 years since we visited WDW and Epcot.

We'll keep reading and researching and hopefully be able to contribute our experiences to help others. We're looking forward to exploring this magical place.

Hi! Mickey2 and welcome to our happy bunch of Disneyholics. Glad you thought enough of us to join us. What are your dining plans that you have planned, you will notice that food is a large part of our Disney discussion. Are you camping at Ft. Wilderness or staying at the cabins there?

Hi there Mickey2. Grownup relaxing trips in WDW are the best! Is there anything in particular you can't wait to see or do?

We are traveling in our motor home so we're happy to be at the FW campground for 11 nights, then in the Orlando area for several weeks.

Our dining reservations are
Le Cellier for 2:50 lunch
Aloha Dinner Show
Ohana dinner
Boma dinner
California Grill dinner
Cape May Cafe dinner
Coral Reef dinner
Nine Dragons dinner
Teppan Edo dinner
Cape May Cafe dinner

We love seafood so there may be more of that type of food on our list. We're hoping to experience good food and great views. I want to be able to stroll around the parks and resorts and take it all in. I love to take photos so I will read up on that. We like the gardens, hidden treasures, love the fireworks and parades! We like the scientific exhibits and want to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. I know I have a lot of reading and research to do before Nov. 5th!

Good job on the ADRs for just making them this week. What park are you going to visit first?

Wow I'm super jealous of your dinner plans! And you got a Le Celliar reservation this close to your trip? Kudos! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Got the ADRs last Monday, one week before our arrival day. Le Cellier and CA Grill were at the top of the wish list. Today I dropped Kona Cafe and was able to add Ohana. So we are set I think. I can see how repeat visits to WDW can be addictive. I'm not sure which direction we will go first, but any suggestions are welcome. Thanks everyone, for the friendly welcomes.

Mickey2...Welcome!!

You will be pleasantly surprised at how things have changed over the last 25 years. WDW is going to be so happy to have you back!

I'm super impressed that you scored Le Cellier, too! That's going to be fab!

There's so much magic to be found throughout the parks when you just get to stroll...I hope you guys have a wonderful time!
